That's supposed to say *must be so frustrating!

roastpots · 29/07/2014 22:24

Hi everyone, Great to see there have been some BFPs recently. I too got mine a couple of days ago!!! I'm in total shock because last time it took 10 months and this was just cycle 2. My cycles are all over the place - from 28 to 42 days long. I think for me the trick was spotting the EWCM - which was totally not when I would have predicted it would be in the cycle. I read in a book that if you put a bit between your thumb and index finger and it stretches across the two as you part them, that is the way to identify it - seems to have worked! Good luck everyone - hope to see some of you on the April board. x x

cinnamongreyhound · 30/07/2014 05:36

Can you see it? I'm pretty sure it's there!! Will do my FRER tomorrow morning! Got up at 2 for a wee so it's only a few hours between.

Oh congrats trying!

Nordicmom · 30/07/2014 08:12

Congrats trying and cinnamon!
I give up it's 13 dpo and there is only the faintest line . I think what ever was there isn't going to work out like last month :(. No blood yet though but expect it anytime now . I'm going to check all this year's dates from my calendar now but don't think I've ever had af past 14 dpo or 15 definitely . I wonder if my problem is the progesterone since conceiving doesn't seem to be . Trying to remember whether my levels have been checked but pretty sure they were since everything else under the sun was...

cinnamongreyhound · 30/07/2014 08:17

Sorry tryhard2, missed you! Congrats!!!!!!

My line is pretty faint Nordicmom and it's 14dpo, don't give up yet!

BrixtonBunny · 30/07/2014 08:25

Nordic a line is a line!!! That's exciting! Try a digi test? Me superdrug ones are still faint but my digi says "pregnant" loud and clear. Smile

Although I have some pink spotting this morning so trying desperately not to get my hopes up. So scared. Sad

cinnamongreyhound · 30/07/2014 08:26

Just for you Sunshinesaz86!

Ttc#3 cycle 2
Dtd cd5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17 (relevant ones I guess)
Had ov pains and ewcm cd13

A few waves of nausea and sore boobs since 11dpo. Cramps 8dpo which I assume we're implantation and a crampy pulling feeling, on and off since 12dpo.
Bfn on IC 12dpo and bfn on tesco 14dpo.

Cpt1sock · 30/07/2014 08:39

CONGRATULATIONS!!! cinnamon & roastpots have a very happy and healthy 9 months.

Hope this rush of BFPs carries on to the August bus xx

notoasthere · 30/07/2014 08:43

BFP's!!!!!!! Fantastic news, this certainly has been a very up and down bus hasn't it?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 30/07/2014 08:55

Cinnamon and trying super congratulations ThanksThanksThanks really wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy.

Rusty, 8 days will be fine. The best thing you can do it to put yourself on a good pre natal vitamin with iron in it. Make sure you take that at least 2 hours after your thyroxine or it won't be absorbed. Stop drinking caffeine as that will interfere with absorption. There is a correlation between underactive thyroid and low ferritin (iron store) have a google not all gps will recognise it. But honestly I'm not well unless both are behaving . You may get referred to a endocrinologist or a haematologist to monitor you throughout (i say throughout once a month) or your gp may handle your bloods. It's all gone a bit bonkers in recent years. When I had my eldest no body even realised a correlation between getting pg and needing more thyroxine (16 years ago) About 8 years ago it was perfect care. Last time I did get quite poorly. (3 years ago) To the point I was told I had to have a monitor on the babies head during labour. Well I told them that wasn't going to happen as it hadn't happened the. 4 previous births. And everyone was ok. They wanted to refer me to a specialist hospital. But what they all failed to realise was that I have super quick labours and there would be no time for any of that. He was born at home perfectly healthy.

Just remember whatever anyone says it's your body and your baby. Stand strong, keep healthy.

Rainbow555 · 30/07/2014 08:58

Yay congrats to the recent bfp!! Someon needs to update the stats list so us lurkers can keep track of how many there have been this month! Yay to a final push before august!
Congrats ladies :)

Siarie · 30/07/2014 09:10

I have Hashimotos which is the autoimmune version of thyroid issues. I also have problems with iron and gluten, both as MrsExtra mentioned have links.

It's worth knowing if you have to auto immune type if you don't know already as it's a lot harder to manage (levels fluctuate more often and you can become over or under active) if you are being medicated. Interestingly I have an appointment today to get my levels checked.

The most important thing is to get your levels balanced before trying to conceive as having a untreated underactive thyroid is known to cause birth defects and problematic pregnancies.

Nordicmom · 30/07/2014 12:37

This from this morning

The July Penis Dragon's final push for July BFPs!
Nordicmom · 30/07/2014 12:39

And now I've just started spotting bright red blood :(. It's never been good news for me and I've now had maybe 12/13 chemicals and miscarriages ... I feel doomed :(

BrixtonBunny · 30/07/2014 12:41

Oh no Nordic! I thought I could see a shadow of a line... So hope the spotting stops and you get a stronger line xxx ThanksThanksThanksThanks

Thanks , I don't think it will since it's never happened before . Had three tests in the last few days with faint lines , today's maybe a tiny bit darker but with my son by 13 dpo I had a clear strong plus and never bled a drop in the whole preg

Nordicmom · 30/07/2014 12:57

The blood is all bright red though but no clots yet . I think it's failed though . I know my body .
