TTC & Travel Insurance

Does anyone have any experience of TTC & buying travel insurance?

I'm currently TTC (5months in with no luck so far) and am also going on holiday in September. I have a pre-existing condition so travel insurance is important. Of course it may not happen but I am hoping that maybe I might be pregnant before I travel.

I've been looking online and reading through policy documents but can't seem to work out whether I am better off buying insurance now, and what would happen to the policy should I become pregnant,or whether I should wait til the last minute so I can say one way or another. I suspect this may vary dependant on policy but if anyone has any personal experience of this I'd be really grateful!

Tbh if you are travelling in september, I wouldnt include a pregnancy in the details. Even if you conceived tonight, your pregnany would be under the 12 week mark and, I dont wish to sound awful here, but should it start to fail, it would be unsalvageable.

I mc'd at eleven weeks and there is nothing any medic can do to prevent it. The pain was managed with paracetamol, brufen and heat pads, and we visited the pregnancy unit a few days later who advised taking a pregnancy test two weeks later to check all products had come away.

I would simply get the travel insurance to cover existing requirements.

I was 7 weeks pregnant when I went on holiday, so I just called my travel insurance provider to make them aware (Debenhams) and they said they didn't even need to know as its not an existing condition.

Unfortunately I MC whilst away, but and didn't need any medical intervention, but it was good to know my travel insurance would cover me if I needed help.

Most travel insurance providers cover pregnancy upto a certain number of weeks.

Debenham ' s were recommended to me whilst pregnant as good for pregnancy. They also cover the baby should you give birth prematurely which would be costly. With others I would check the exclusions but it would be good to have something as whilst miscarriages can be managed without medical help there are other times when you may need medical help in early pregnancy.
