Hi hopefully someone can help! This is our first month ttc and I'm using OPK, Iv been testing for the left 7 days and on Thursday I got a positive line same colour as control line, Friday I got positive darker than control line and today is the same darker than control line. All the results came within a few seconds of testing. Iv also had one sided cramps since Thursday.

My question is when am I actually ovulating? We have done BD last Sunday, Thursday, Friday and today using preseed each time. Is it normal to have long positive opk result

I had a surge that was as dark for one day, darker the next and the morning after that but then that afternoon it went back to lighter. Going by pains I think I ov'd on the day it was darker all day so I counted the day the lines matched as the start of the surge with me oving the next day. They also say you ov 12-36 hours from start of surge. If anyone knows any different please correct me!! I have also been confused by the lines lasting so long and also instructions saying almost as dark, same and darker are all positive results!

Yeh I heard OV can be 12-36 hrs after surge.
I've started temping this month and can more easily pinpoint when I've OV as you get a rise once it's happened.
Maybe worth considering?

You can get OV pain before, during and after OV, so don't use that as an indication of when it happened. I'd say you probably OV'd Fri / Sat.

I'd count today as 1 DPO for counting purposes.

Thanks for all the replies! Ttc is very confusing! I hope I can relax about it but I'm one of those people who obsess over everything!
