Need some help re coming off pill........

and finding out when I would be due AF.

I took the pill for a week before me and DH decided we would like another baby, so I just stopped taking it and a couple of days later I had AF. Has this now mucked up my cycle? I need to know when I am due AF again so I know when I can do a test. Will I just have to wait do you think?

When you stop taking pill you can have a bleed but it's not your period IYSWIM? You'll have to wait for your body to find it's own rhythm again but if you're say, 5 weeks down the line and no AF still then a pg test might be called for!

For me, I always bleed 5 days after my last pill - regardless of mid pack/end pack etc. I am assuming that my body then goes back into whatever its regular cycle is (taking the first day of bleeding as day 1)... I can't say for sure though because and lucky enough to have never made it to the first period without being pregnant.

It does seem to coincide (due dates etc) that that is how it works for me.

Everyone is different though.

Do you mean 5 weeks from now or from last bleed?

I did this recently - took a pill for 2 weeks (stopped due to side effects), had a bleed around a week later and then 5 weeks on from then, have started getting a 'normal' (but ludicrously painful and heavy) period. I think it mucks up your cycles for a bit because I normally have a totally regular 28-30 day cycle.

Yeah Flamesparrow thats what happened to me when I fell pregnant with my 2! But then I had taken the whole pack of pills so kind of knew when my period would be due!

This is what I am thinking (and hoping!) this time that I wont have a period!

I guess I will just have to wait a bit!

I just want to know if I am or not! I have been having the same symptoms I had with my other 2 pregnancies but I guess they could be because of my cycle being mucked up!
