how long before pg shows on test?

feel pg atm but dont think much point of taking test as would only be two weeks max so dont think show up? also is it 14 days after pd that you generally ovulate? forgotten it all

It's usually 14 days before your period that you ovulate, so if you're on a regular cycle, that depends on the length of the cycle of course. If you have a 28 day cycle, then yes it should mean 14 days. However that can be complicated by you ovulating unusually late or early one cycle, or ovulating twice even.

Would you get a result at 2 weeks? You could well, yes. You may well not. Depends on the pregnancy. People will probably tell you to wait till your period's due, but personally I'd test now, with a cheap test, why not?

The cheap tests are just as reliable as the expensive ones by the way, they're just not packaged as attractively. They are what the Doctors use.

FWIW I tested at 2 weeks and got a positive. (Very faint line, DP couldn't see it. I confirmed it with an early response test which showed a stronger line).

On an earlier pregnancy i tested negative at 4 weeks, then positive at 5 weeks.

When I caught I tested on day 22 of my cycle with a first response test. They are v sensitive and should show up if you are pregnant

It depends. My last two pregnancies I tested positive at 9dpo

I only tested positive today, CD33 - 19 days after ovulation, according to my app...

Totally understand daisy - I feel pregnant but I'm still only 11dpo so I am trying to stay away from the temptation to poas. It's so hard though. I'm feeling so sick, just like I did with dd.... yes even this early (it lasted from a couple of days after conception all the way to five months!) I've not told dh as he will quite rightly think I'm just being neurotic as we only dtd the day before I ovulated so if I do happen to be upduffed, it will be the flukiest pg ever!!

Broody this cycle we only DTD once 3 days before ovulation and we got pregnant! So can happen :)

Just told dh I think im pg. he's so excited! But also worried after my mc. Same here, I'm v excited for a bfp but shit scared in case I lose another bubba. Going to buy more tests after dd has woken up from her nap. Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgh!! Can't believe it!!
