I am very confused by the threads in this folder

I have no idea what 'moon unicorns' or 'piss by post' are, I am just after a bit of online support in the long, lonely road which is TTC.

Clicked on this folder to be greeted by pages of gobbledegook!

Hello! I don't understand a lot of this either, the acronyms are confusing enough. I just tend to ignore those threads and read/chat on the ones which make sense to me! I think people have such different experiences that it can be overwhelming! How are you doing on your TTC journey?

The thread titles are born from themes or jokes in previous threads. They make it easy to find your 'group' when the thread reaches it's maximum number of replies and a new one is needed.

The reality is that most of the people who join any particular thread will be there for a few instalments and they like the continuity of people who are similar to them (some are based on age, others on methods or experiences) and who 'know' them a bit (well as much as you can know someone through an online forum).

yes what the hell is everyone on about in this topic of conception - whatever happened to sex? thats what i entend to do, worked the first time round lol

I can tell you after ttc for 15 months I needed some fun and people who understood what I was going through

Quick summary -
Buses (july bus etc) - monthly general TTC threads, good place to start
Just shagging - one for Daisy
Brookers - started 3 years with a poster who said, I am jolly well going to get pregnant this month and I'm brooking no argument. A positive thread, lots of people did get pregnant that month including the OP.
3 yrs later some are still trying, some coming back for #2!
BESH - Based on a daily mail article a few years ago saying that women who leave it until their 30s are Bitter Evil Selfish Hags. Punchy thread, long term TTC, very supportive and funny bunch.
Elderberries - not sure, think TTC#1 for a while
10 month plus - long term TTC
Egg buddies - doing IVF
TTC #2 - says it all

Read a few threads and see what takes your fancy, hopefully you won't have to stay in any too long

Sometimes it can seem like everyone 'knows' each other bit I promise, jump into one and introduce yourself then people will explain everything. Like previous poster, I highly recommend the 'buses'. I've been trying for 20monyhs so they're not good for me anymore but we're brilliant early in my journey. They will ask; trying to conceive (ttc) as in are you trying for first, second third kiddie: cycle no. As in how long you been trying and when your BFP (big fat positive would be due - when is period (AF) due. You will catch on in no time and everyone is lovely! If your BFP would be this month - join the July bus. Of next month, August bus.
