Ttc when breast feeding with no af

I have a 9 month dd. I have had pms symptoms (moody and ECM) for about 4 months but no sign of af. I had ewcm 8 days ago so was hoping it could be ovulation so dtd. However yesterday I had pain for most of the day on the right hand side of my womb. This pain I am now thinking was ovulation, or could it be implantation? Two days ago I had loads of ewcm, again could this be a sign of ovulation or implantation.
I am hoping we will catch the first egg. Dd breast feeds 3 times in 24 hours and this week I am starting to introduce her to formula.
What are other peoples symptoms with catching the first egg (if this really can happen) ?

Did a hpt today and came back negative. Cramps not as bad but all over rather than right hand side. Still some ewcm. Any one else symptom spotting?

If you did ovulate (ewcm)only 8 days ago you wouldn't have a positive pregnancy test just yet, so test again in a few days.

Sounds to me like your body is trying to ovulate though, that used to happen to me.
If you are planning on cutting back on the feeding you should definitely ovulate very soon after that, I think.

Thanks. I think you are probably right about my body getting ready to ovulate. Cramps have eased now but I'm sure I can still feel things going on in my womb. More ewcm this morning as we'll.
I will try and wait a week before testing again.
I didn't expect all these confusing fertility symptoms when I began breast feeding.

I stopped bf in February and this month is the first month I have OV symptoms ( temp/ opk) even though my periods returned in March.
Unfortunately pregnancy and BF plays havoc with our bodies and mine has taken 5 months to get back to normal so hope it happens soon for you as I know how frustrating it can be. Good luck!

Thanks blonde. Did another hpt today and negative. I will do another next week. I think the symptoms I have are more likely a sign of af making her way than ovulation or pregnancy. Had more pms symptoms over the last few days such as spots on my face, moodiness, bloating and really painful af type cramps for most of yesterday. I didn't sleep well last night and kept needing a wee (hense why I did the hpt this morning).

Thought af had arrived today, however bleeding was v light pinkish brown and stopped after 3 hours. I had no pain at all. Could this be implantation bleeding?
