Hi lucieloos, ooh thats exciting, as its my first time im a bit of a novice at all this, hopefully i will be covered then as DTD CD 6,8,9,10,12&13 and hopfully again tonight just in case!

I have ordered some conceive plus for next month, if we are not lucky this month, have you used it both cycles? i may even go all out and start temping but dont want DP to think im obsessed! mind due he doesnt know much about the subject, he thought folic acid was some sort of pregnancy conceiving enhancer lol! bless him!

spinningirl10 · 02/08/2014 11:52

Hmmm I'm thinking that we stop dtd too soon! We usually try and dtd on the day of +opk and the following day which I have assumed is ov day but as I keep reading you can ov 36 hours after +opk then I guess we should keep going?

Sunshinesaz86 · 02/08/2014 12:06

its so hard to know isnt it spinning?.......what cd are you on, and which cd was your positive opk?

last month i assumed ov would have been approx cd14 (not using opk's), but since the +opk realised it was obviously much earlier and no EWCM at all so i think the best way forward is just obviously DTD as much as possible! ive noticed also alot of the ladies who have had bfp's really put the effort in too, either eod or everyday around ov for around 10 days or so! x

MrsExtraOrdinary · 02/08/2014 12:10

On a more positive note just had white creamy cm! Hooray! Oh the roller coaster is driving me crazy. Off to super drug I go!

xBlueberry88x · 02/08/2014 12:13

Afternoon ladies,

Spinning Ive read that to...I had positive opk Sunday dtd on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday im pretty sure I oved Monday I had really bad cramps.

Chandlers FX being really hot is a sign, ive been getting hot flushes as well as nauseus.

TheGrand sorry I cant see anything fx it gets stronger.

Treacle fx you know where you are in your cycle soon must be frustrating.

Sunshine Not every one gets ewcm might be worth getting some sperm safe lube to help out I know some of the girls on here use some.

Must be about 6dpo today still feeling rather crap, nauseus, light headed.

Supposed to be tiding house today but trying to chill out on sofa watching obem already cried at hollyoaks so im sure ill cry at this lol.

Had a bit of cramping today aswell hmmm

spinningirl10 · 02/08/2014 12:31

Sunshine, I'm 3dpo. Got ppositive opk on Tuesday, also had reflexology that day. Wed night I had awful lower back pain and stomach ache so maybe ov'd then.

Yep it's hard Blueberry, you'd think I'd be better at all this after 13 cycles!!

xBlueberry88x · 02/08/2014 12:42

lol im cycle 16 and still dont know what im doing haha

Sunshinesaz86 · 02/08/2014 12:53

ooh spinning we are both 3DPO (as far as i can tell)!!......sorry to hear you have been trying for so long spinning and blue, must be tough!

and yes blue have already ordered some conceive plus for next cycle although im hoping i wont be needing it, but i think thats wishful thinking!

FX MrsE!

Katybear123 · 02/08/2014 12:56

Hi all confused here ff app saying 4th- 7th is peak fertility, ov app saying 7th - 12th!! I'm confused. How can they b so different? I have been pushing ff for 3 cycles and 1st cycle was 51 days as first one off pill so is that maybe it? Ovia I only just started and told it I have 25 days cycles grrrr

cinnamongreyhound · 02/08/2014 13:09

Hello all.

going to read back and see how we all are.

cd9 here and flashing smiley. had row with DH over ttc so doubt we'll be dtd today. Sad

just got back from a run by the river which has lifted my mood somewhat though. Smile

spinningirl10 · 02/08/2014 17:11

Sunshine, sounds like you've got it covered there Grin

Genni, sorry to hear you've fallen out with dh, maybe you'll make up later. A run is always good to clear the mind.

spinningirl10 · 02/08/2014 17:14

Oops sooty that should have been sunbathing....you sound like you've got it covered!

Sunshine, I can't believe it's been 13 cycles, they pass by quite fast. I had a mc last October and didn't expect to still be trying now!

Blueberry, do you have conversations with your dh about future plans and saying.....oh well I might be pregnant or we might have a baby then? We are always doing that! We don't let it stop us doing anything really although we did back out of a skiing holiday in January next year. Too much money to waste if I am pregnant....which of course I will be by then Grin

spinningirl10 · 02/08/2014 17:18

Grrrr....I've just got home and planned to get dinner for the students and spend the evening catching up on trashy tv that I recorded while we were away and MN in my room. My adult student seems to have cottoned on to the fact that my dp works on a Saturday night.....she's already asked if he's working and says she can spend the evening talking to meConfused

KittyVonCatsington · 02/08/2014 17:54

Hello August Passengers – I’m back! Grin

Prepare for a mammoth future post (as well as this one!!) as I read back over the past week but for now, I will be very much an August passenger. Sad

The day after I arrived on the Yorkshire Moors, AF started. I still have no idea why my luteal phase was so long thanks NHS but I have never been in so much pain over AF, even after the early mc. I had two sleepless nights where I was in so much pain and no amount of painkillers helped. Looking this up, it is very likely I had a Luteal Cyst that took it’s time dissolving. Whatever the cause of the long cycle, I’m glad it’s over!

My experiment with Soy Isoflavones has commenced and I took them CD2-6 with doses of 100mg, 150mg, 150mg, 200mg, 200mg (50mg tablets). I took them just before bed as I read that you don’t get side effects that way and I didn’t, apart from extremely long first morning pees! I timed one for a laugh and it lasted 1 minute 44 seconds Grin

For anyone interested, so far, I have noticed that my BBT temps are much lower than they normally are at this stage of my cycle. Based on the last two temping cycles, my BBT temps have been very very high (above coverline still, ranging from 36.60-36.70) up to CD7 or 8 and then only to about 36.50-36.60 till about CD16-17. I’m guessing this is the main cause of my late ovulation, as I don’t get an oestrogen surge until CD17 onwards and why my progesterone can take a while to fully kick in after ovulation.

Well, from CD3, my BBT temps have been between 36.37 and 36.23, so I am hoping this will help bring ovulation sooner and hopefully stronger. At CD7, I will be interested to see how it goes!

Right, will read back now and see how you are all getting on. xxx

Oh, and my new stats will be:

KittyVonCatsington, 33, TTC #1, Cycle #9, BFP Due: 29th August

Think I'm finally ovulating at day 23 - lots of ewcm yesterday and a positive opk and cramping on my left side today. Exciting! So will be starting my first 2ww very soon.

mistywillow17 · 02/08/2014 18:44

Hi all - haven't had time to read back yet, will do that later after I've finished the hoovering (what a glamorous life I lead).

Currently around 7dpo and really frustrated with myself - part of me is absolutely CONVINCED that I am upduffed this month. I have never felt this strongly before, and I know I am setting myself up for disappointment.

Yes, there are a few things that could be symptoms I guess - very veiny boobs (keep whapping them out and staring at them in the mirror, trying to remember if they have ever looked that blue/veiny before), light headed moments and what I can only describe as "weird sensations" in my lower abdomen - but they could all very well be the products of an overactive imagination (or possibly last night's curry).

I am trying to calm myself down by reminding myself that at least if it is a BFN this time, I can have a few beers on holiday next month. But it's not really working. So I'm invoking the power of the Dragon for BFPs all round this month.

mistywillow17 · 02/08/2014 18:46

PS I know it's too probably too early for symptoms anyway, but my rational side isn't really winning this argument.

P.P.S Nice to see you Kitty, hope August is a better month for you

KittyVonCatsington · 02/08/2014 19:16

Right, warned you this was going to be a long one – sorry to anyone on mobiles!!!

Hi and welcome to everyone joining the August bus too and so sorry to everyone else caught out by AF.

I really really hope you have ovulated Treacle as it is super frustrating to not even be given the chance of a BFP and I know you might have a month off. Looking at your [edit: first] chart, there is a difference between the ovulation temps and post ovulation temps but I agree, progesterone doesn’t seem to be very dominant. However, I also don’t think your chart looks like a typical anovulatory one either, if I ignore your AF temps, so fingers crossed!
Edit: Just read your latest post, if you are going off FF’s Advanced method, it is placing a big emphasis on your positive opk – hence it places ovulation on CD14. Change the settings to FAM method instead and see what it says, based on your temps and CM alone. I think you might have ovulated CD14 though, as like me and other charts I have seen on FF, the progesterone might have taken a while to take over from the oestrogen/corpus luteum. The other possible day is CD20. Either way, I am sure you have ovulated (I’ve just read your posts after this Grand and Treacle - I luffs you Grin )

How bloody awesome was your positive opk Blueberry!!!!! Top Banana Smile Lots of people have said that they got AF cramping prior to a BFP so they thought they were out – I hope that is you!!!

Oh English - really gutted on your behalf. WTF went on with that cycle????!!!! You poor poor thing – I understand the need to take some time out as it really upsetting after all that hope. I hope temping gives you something to focus on and do drop in every now and again, when you get a good day. I can see you cradling your little one in no time xx

Welcome back from Italy spinning!!!! Fingers crossed for you in the TWW! I often DTD on the day of a positive opk, the next two days after and then a couple more eod for luck. Worked for me in Feb, but hasn’t worked since. It’s all about luck, timing and miracles if you ask me!!
EDIT: Do you have another student staying with you? Poor you-you can’t catch a break with them, it seems!!!

Sorry you were feeling low April - It can be frustrating when temps don’t correspond with the CBFM and DH is away during a fertile period. Looked into private tests too, but really can’t afford the hundreds of pounds it would cost in London, so going to keep trying a few more cycles Smile

I can’t say I have ever experience a lightening crotch MrsE but it surely has to be added to the list of SYMPTOMS!!?? Reading this: it's not as if I don't have a family I just wanted to say that you shouldn’t feel guilty for feeling so down about another BFN. It still hurts, whether you already have kids or not. You will live up to your name and be blessed soon, I just know it!!

kurama I loved reading about your potential little notes to let DH know when a BFP arrives – I too have thought of different ways in the past, of telling DH, but have sort of given up on inventive ways as the longer this process goes on! I was so certain I would be successful back in June, that I even bought a Fathers Day card but of course, totally jinxed myself and found it difficult that weekend when AF arrived and was reading Spotti’s announcement/card to her DH (which was lovely, Spotti, if you’re reading! But I was a little down too) so have decided not to get my hopes up that way ever again.
I am so sorry about your results but wow for gearing up to ovulate/ed without the Clomid. So hope this change is your ticket to a BFP xxx Keep going chick, we’ll get you to your desintation!!

Brilliant news cinnamon Thanks you must be over the moon with your BFP – well done!!!!

Nordic lots of virtual hugs – so so sorry you have had another early mc – that was such a lovely clear BFP as well (((hugs))) Have you had a chat with DH about surrogacy recently?

Well done on your BFP Serenity a long time coming!! Thanks Glad everything went like clockwork for you this cycle and you have a happy and healthy 9 months!!

lucie Thanks for being the stats conductor – there are a lot of us on this bus! I am an advocate for internet cheapie opks, as my cycles are all over the place and I just couldn’t afford ClearBlue any longer. I would get flashing smileys for forever, before getting a solid and sometimes miss a solid entirely as FMU just doesn’t work with me; I think 13 flashing smileys in a row was my record and I was exhausted DTD all that time, as I kept thinking today could be it and didn’t realise the CB device is programmed to keep giving highs until a peak, even if the body stops and no peak comes and tries again, oh, and I got through two months’ supply in one cycle and still ran out of sticks. I like that I can continue testing with my internet cheapies as it seems I often gear up for ovulation, then don’t, so I like to keep testing to see. ClearBlue OPKs and FM are great when you have normal cycles though.

Sorry Grand - I can’t see a second line on your picture yet, but I know what you mean seeing in real life – have you tested again? EDIT: Oh, just read again – I can see a faint thin line on that picture, on my laptop!!!! How many dpo are you? Grin

Have fun DTD MrsG - hope this month you get lucky again!

Have fun camping Cpt!!!!!

Brixton my lovely – CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Thanks Wonderful news on the BFP but also on your engagement!! Cake all round methinks!!!!!!

Sunshine Quite often EWCM precedes ovulation in the fertile period but can stop by the time ovulation happens-have you had any prior to CD11? Otherwise, it doesn’t mean you didn’t ovulate but without temps or a scan to confirm, you can’t be sure. As you have ics, can you keep testing over the next few days to see if they stay negative? I would DTD a few more times in case, but then I’m a DTD nutter and use Conceive Plus or Balance Activ all the time Wink

Katybear - The Apps go on different algorithms based on the data you enter but they can still be incorrect – thanks mother nature! Ovia are probably going off general averages based on other users with similar stats and FF is going off your worst case scenario average. Are you going to use anything else to help work out your fertile period this month? Otherwise, DTD eod till about CD20 should cover most people’s cycles. Good luck!

Sorry about your row genni - It can be very stressful TTC and when you have been trying for a long time too, it’s bound to come to a head. I hope that you can take this through with your DH and successfully DTD soon Let us know how it goes xx

misty - When you can, a bit of positive thinking can do you the world of good, so don’t feel bad – you have every right to hope and you do have convincing SYMPTOMS Smile

I don’t seem to have read anything from laurano81 - are you okay sweetie? I totally understand if you are taking time off the buses but just to let you know I’m thinking of you and hope this cycle is going well xx

KittyVonCatsington · 02/08/2014 19:16

Oh, and lots of penis Dragon luck to everyone on the August bus!!!

Cariad2014 · 02/08/2014 19:25

Katybear - not sure I can assist on why the apps are giving you different ov dates as I've never tried them out.

I've found CBFM really useful as even though my cycles are fairly regular, I didn't have a clue when I ov'd. It's at least given me the reassurance that my leutal phase is fairly normal and that we're dtd at what seem to be the right times. Ironically, the month I had my chemical pregnancy, I was on holiday and decided not to use it (although I pretty much knew based on the previous month that I would ov on day 12 of that cycle so we were able to time dtd accordingly). That having been said, it was really useful in helping me pinpoint my peak days in the cycle after my chemical which was longer than normal, and I'm using it again this cycle so we'll see...

As with other ovulation predictor tests, I don't think it's foolproof, as it is possible for your hormones to surge without ovulation taking place, (which is why many swear by temping as well) but I still think I'll keep using it until I get a bean that sticks.

cinnamongreyhound · 02/08/2014 19:47

Tell her to bugger off spinningirl10!

Thanks KittyVonCatsington! Sorry to hear you had such a bad af and hope you enjoyed some of your hols. Weirdly I haven't been able to sleep since Sunday but last night I slept all night thankfully and it really takes it out of you! Keeping my eye on things here to see everyone's bfp's :)

spinningirl10 · 02/08/2014 20:25

Haha Cinnamon that made me laughGrin

Kitty, yay, good to have you back. Hope you enjoyed your holiday? Sorry to hear af arrived and was such a bitch for you!
I still have my Saudi lady and her son, they've been here for 8 weeks and go home end of August. All they want to eat is McDonaldsShock I had 3 lovely French boys here who have just gone home. My parents stayed here while we were away and looked after everyone.
