Hi all, quick question... So I am day 75 into my cycle. Starting to give up then for various reasons tmi alert ..v.soft cervix, twinges general 'what the hell sense' I decide to try an opk this afternoon. Came out with quite a line. Now I know that as it wasn't as strong as the control that it is not a positive, but here is my question...does this happen and then get darker as nearer to the big o? Or is there always a bit of a line... I should mention, they are cheap tests....

Mine would get darker towards ovulation and lighter after.

There's always two lines. The test line will get darker during your surge. The peak is when both lines are the same colour (or the test line is darker).
