Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated! - I am very confused and would like to know if anyone has had any similar experiences. I am a couple of days late and did a clearblue test this morning. There was a very very faint line after about five mins. I have started to notice some very light pink discharge which I don't usually get at the start if a period (in fact never!). However, I did a digital test later in the day to confirm everything but the result was negative. - Do digital tests require more hormone to give a positive result? Feel quite sick and tired and quite crampy - otherwise fine. - I really hope it is going to be a positive result but trying really hard not to get hopes up. (oh yeah, I already have 2 children, and didnt realise I was pregnant with either until about 6 weeks and they both only came up with very faint positive lines)
Thanks x

it's possible to get a false negative but not a false positive. so congratulations may well be on their way

It's a very confusing situation to be in isn't it?
In my experience very faint lines have always come to nothing ( sorry), but I know that there are people for whom it has worked.
It could just be that you AF is late. Apparantly 50% of all fertilised eggs do not implant and the tests could be picking up the evidence of a fertilisation, iyswim.
I had your experience one time and the next day my period started properly. I really don't mean to dash your hopes. I am only giving you my experience. I'm sure someone else will come with more positive stories, but all you can do is wait and see what happens.
Test again in a few days if Af hasn't arrived, good luck

How long did the test say to look after?

Most tests are ready to read after two or three minutes.
If you look again after a while (say ten mins) you could see a faint line which is just an evaporation line....which is why they say to bin it after a few minutes.

I would try again in a couple of days with another test and first morning urine.

I hope you get the result you want.

Hi I was late and I had the same thing yesterday morning and just turn out to be evaporation line, and I to had light pink discharge (never had before) only to get full on AF within 24 hours later. I had very sore and hot boobs which I never have ever plus feeling fine with tiredness when normally would feel just very grumpy! It wasn't meant to be for me as AF followed but I did get my hopes up but feeling very sad now! I've been TTC for almost 15 months and still try to get the hang of it! Good luck and I do very much hope you get the result you want soon best of luck!

I just had the exact same thing this week, then the day after the pink discharge along came more full on than normal AF. Felt horrible as I thought this month would be it. Sorry if the same happens meglo. Here's wishing us all luck in the coming month. I was thinking of investing in one of these Persona ovulation kits. Does any1 know if they're any good?

iamapieceofcheesecake · 09/09/2006 00:25

I just want to say good luck to you all. For 4 or 5 months I had the getting my hopes up thing, so I would do a pg test only for af to come along the next day. Now I am nearly 7 weeks pg. If it's any help to you, I read that if you orgasm after your partner has ejaculated then it helps the sperm on it's way. Not sure if thats what did it, but it was the only thing I did differently this time around....
And again, Good Luck to you all.

hello, me again!
The 'bleed' has stopped entirely but still no positive result. I am really confused. Am never ever late - the start of my last period was 10th August so I am only about 4 days late I think. Is it possible I concieved late in the month which is why no AF but no def positive result?

meglo you know when it was possible for you to conceive. I rather suspect though that af is simply late, sorry
