Anyone else about to take the plunge and stop bc pills?

Ive read another thread with interest about ttc after the pill & saw that a couple of posters were about to stop their bc pills so thought a new thread might be in order!
Im getting married in August & currently finishing my last packet of Yasmin. Excited & nervous all at the same time!

So who's with me?

Ooo good signs lovebugs :) still a flashing smile again for me today but will test again later on just to make sure lol ... What's a good time for a later test do you think ?

I was testing around 5-7pm when back from work and got negatives. When I got a positive I tested at 3pm as was out before and after that time and I'd read on the net that around 2-3pm is the best time. Not sure why this is but seemed to work for me! Maybe don't do after 10pm as it says on the tests and don't drink too much a couple of hours before. Fx for you xx

Thanks for the advice I can only hold it for a max of 3 hours !!! But it's an nice dark sample (sorry tmi !) so think it's strong enough ! Did one at 2 o'clock today but still only flashing... GL for you and your 2ww !! Xx

Not sure what to suggest Kate other than keep testing and DTD! you may still ovulate but just have lower hormones that the test isn't picking up. I'm gonna test when I get home and see what is says as I don't have any EWCM today and seems dry again plus I don't have the right side pain so maybe yesterday was it! We'll DTD again tonight just to cover all bases! The next two weeks will drag but I'll probably preg rest early next week I'm so impatient!

Lol I'm impatient too.. Must learn to control myself !!!! I'm still making sure I dtd eod on the flashies just in case that's the best in gonna get lol all the signs you've had plus your + opk are sounding great for you :)

Well i just got home and tested - just the circle again and no smiling face so think yesterday was my ovulation 12-24hrs and hope we DTD in time! Just got to wait and see from now on...

Day 4 of flashing smiles for me.. Still dtd eod but it's taking its toll a little bit as me and dh are normally once a week kinda ppl ( been married for 11 years lol ) when I do an ic I don't get any line at all not even a faint one :( ... So hopefully it's not a complete waste of time and energy dtd on all the flashy days ( not that I don't enjoy it of course) I would have thought that if I was gearing up to ov I would at least have a faint line ??? Any advice appreciated on this please x

Sorry Kate I'm not sure what the flashing smiley faces mean and why it hasn't given you a definite day...I think you are doing the right thing DTD every other day around this time. It's been hard for us to get use to DTD for a purpose rather than just pleasure and it does change things when this is on our minds so much.keep thinking positive, testing and checking EWCM-that's all we can do xx

Mine are the same as yours lovebugs except they measure your oestrogen levels as well so you get flashing smiles when your oestrogen levels rise in preparation for ov and then is supposed to turn to a solid smile once it's picked up your lh surge.i did an ic for my test this afternoon and there was a second line there which I don't normally get so hopefully I'm gearing up to ov and that its just a little later than I would have expected lol

Super news! I did a bit of reading on the net about the test you are using and it's good that it detects the increase days before the surge. Just enjoy today and then we are both in the tww club which is a weird feeling as i don't want to drink and keep symptom spotting (feeling sick first thing when I get up, bloated tummy, boobs feel bigger)!! Fx for us both for BFPs this month xx

When are you going to test Kate? Will you wait until your period or do an early one? Think I'll do an early one on Sunday morning as we are due to have a few drinks that day but will do another when period due the week after.

Ohhhh that's a good question lol ... I think my AF will be due 30th oct and I would like to say that I will happily wait until AF is due but I think we both know that's not true lol when would be a good time to test and stand a chance of getting a BFP do you think ?

Well the early tests say about 5 days before AF but I've read lots of posts on here and other website about positive results earlier than that so I'm thinking of testing on 19th which is a week before my AF is due if I have a 28 day cycle going forward...if it says negative then I'll allow myself a couple of drinks and retest the following Sunday unless AF arrives!

Yes will hold out until then as I'm so impatient but I've read that it's only about 50% accurate 4 days before you miss your period...will doubt a negative result until I either get a positive one or my period comes the following week! Just heard a friend is pregnant with her third and though super happy for her I really wanted it to be me to be the next one to announce! Fx for a BFP soon.

Hello all! Now on cycle 2... First proper af arrives yesterday, forgot how horrible they are!

lovebugs and kate the pregnancy tests although on packet say days before af, it is more accurate to count days after ov as very one has different length literal phases. Ideal is 14 days fter ov ( hence the tww) but you could get a result as early as 10dpo.

Bfp/af now due 14 nov and ov due 1 November so more waiting for me!

Thanks wanttobe*! Fx for you now you have had a proper AF. I'm due AF or BFP on 26th if I have a 28 day cycle but as this is my first cycle I'm really not sure what to expect. This TWW definitely feels like it drags-and I've a week to go!
