I just wondered if there was anyone on here who was trying to conceive after going through monitoring from a molar?
I'm at early stage of monitoring but the results are good so far, so i'm looking forward to trying again. did you wait the full 6 months? How are you feeling about it?

Take care

Hi Sunnylb.
Haven't had one myself but know someone who has. She waited the length of time she was told to wait. (And has since gone on to have healthy pg and deliver a DD)
But I'm sure there is someone out there who has actually experienced this themselves and is much better equipped to advise.......
Good luck

Hi I had a molar pregnancy back in 2003, I was monitored for a year. We got the all clear at the end of Aug and I conceived in sept (now have a gorgeous little girl ) I have to say I absolutely hated being monitored (peeing in a bloody jug then putting it in the bottle) also had to do the blood tests. We are are now trying to conceive no.2 (1wk late for AF so fingers crossed even tho preg tests have come up neg so far)

Also got an early scan to make sure everything was ok. Are you being monitored weekly/monthly?? I had to do it weekly then towards the end it was monthly

Hope everything goes ok for you

Yes, mc at 9wks Aug 2002, followed by d&c - didn't feel properly well and kept going back to Doctors - finally got properly examined, sent for scan following day and 2nd d&c that afternoon (end Oct) - 2wks later transferred to different hospital as this didn't clear things - 4 months treatment, 1yr not allowed to consider, conceived 5.5 months after this (just before going to start IVF) - ds now 18months and gorgeous.

Just had very early mc at 5wks, so hoping that this one doesn't go wrong again. Major worry, but have seen doctor and going to get appropriate follow-up checks etc.

Will be monitored for the rest of my life - at least its just one early am sample now, not a 12 hr one.

So yes, its possible. However, be prepared to feel completely paranoid for a lot of the time. I went from one scan/mw appt to the next each time thinking that something must have gone wrong, and even found myself at 7mths thinking that I can't be pregnant (despite the regular kicks and hics).

Good luck in ?10 months? !
