Day 28 is tomorrow but even though I was 99% sure I couldn't be pregnant still couldn't stop myself from testing. Yesterday was negative with a Clear Blue, this morning I had a faint positive line from a Clear Response, so I doubled checked with a Clear Blue an hour later and it was negative. I've just done another and that's negative...don't know what to think. I left the 'positive' test out for 20mins before double checking it because at first I only saw what I thought was negative result. Could there be hope?! I'm probably clutching at straws.......

Clearblue isnt as sensitive as others try a first response?

Eddiethehorse · 27/06/2014 17:39

Try a cheap supermarket/pound shop one. They never let me down Wink

I'm not in the UK...I can get big brands and sometimes Boots own, otherwise it's the ones that you have to dip into wee! I'll see what happens tomorrow, if AF raises her ugly head....not going to bloody sleep...aghhhhhhh

Was the first test with first morning wee? The hormones are stronger in the first wee so that might be why you only got a faint positive on that one. If you can get a first response test they are great.

Eddiethehorse · 27/06/2014 18:17

Yes first thing...the 2nd was after an hour or so, water and a coffee....the 3rd was hours later....I'm so shocked...I 100% thought it was another one of those months. If I could get a First Response would it work now? Why are the Clear Blue ones so bad? My reservation is that with the first test i just saw the first line and stomped off, it was about 20mins later that I dared to go back, I was going to throw it away but then saw the faint second line. Could the test have turned positive because it had been left?

It could be an evap line or it could be a faint positive. Clear Blues aren't that great at detecting early pregnancies, first response are more sensitive so if you can if hold on until the morning and then retest with one. (If you can't get one in time you could always pee in a jar and test a bit later when you've been to the shops).

That's a great link! Yes it could have been..if only I'd gone back 10 minutes before...aghhhh.....BUT....I'm going to hang onto the little bit of hope I have until tomorrow and AF comes, then I will wallow
and drink lots of wine!
