A brown period

I started trying to conceive last month. This month(around 7th June)

I had my period when I expected to, but it was brown. Blush What does this mean? I have been using ovulating sticks and this month, I don't seem to have an LH surge, just a faint line for about 4 days. I'm really confused. Has anyone else experienced this? What does it mean? Confused

Thanks in advance

When was your last period and how long is your cycle (usually)

Was the brown bleeding the heaviness and duration of a normal period?

WhatKatyDidToday · 25/06/2014 20:56

The period before the brown one (Blush) was the 11th May and my usual cycle is 28 days.

The brown one (Blush) lasted the same length as a normal one but was possibly slightly lighter .

Thankyou for responding

I have to ask if you've done a pregnancy test? With DS1 I got brown 'bleeding' when my period was due for about 3 dats and it stopped. Was v light though, not like a normal period. Turns out it was implantation bleeding

I think you should probably do a pregnancy test.

I've done a pregnancy test this morning, I'm not pregnantHmm so what was it?

Brown blood usually means blood left over from previous period. Not sure why this would have randomly happened. Probably just 'one of those things'. Try not to worry and then if it happens again you could speak to your doctor. Bodies always seem to start doing random stuff to stress us out when we're TTC!

Ok so as far as I understand, it will be brown because it's old blood. That means that it took a while to make it's exit, could of been really light bleeding so it was slow to make a move or just random spotting. Sometimes it's seen right at the very end of AF, given you said it lasted the duration of your AF then that is a bit strange.

I would just ignore it for now but it it happens again perhaps see your GP?
