Horizontal line through Boots home pregnancy test - test window

Hi,

I have just done a home pregnancy test from boots. There is a faint horizontal line running through the whole of the two does (there are two one for test and one for control). The control line also has the usual thick and dark pink line (meaning it worked i think), what does this mean?! I chucked the instruction booklet out so I can't read up on it!

If there's a line horizontal line in both windows it sounds like a faulty test. Might need to do another to double check.

can you post a picture?

Could mean very early pregnancy try to do one first thing in morning hcg is higher in urine first thing, don't think it's faulty as the control has a line through it.

hey - sorry been a busy day - the line faded and disappeared after about 5 min so am assuming false alarm? :( Have ordered new tests anyway - found 15 for £2.80 on amazon as I don't want to keep forking out 4.99 for two from boots so will do another and hope for the best

Thanks for your advice and fingers crossed for next time
