Hi all.. I was hoping I might find some advice here as this is really new to me.

We have been ttc not for 10 months now. I posted a bit of a frantic post a week ago but short story: depo injection finished 10 months ago. No whiff of a cycle until the 8th of this month when I bled for 5 days which I considered my first period. We have a scan on Friday to rule out pcos etc. Anyways. I was due to ov Sunday, but the Thursday night prior I began having a light pink and brown bloody discharge. This continued until Sunday afternoon. It was light, but enough to need a pad. The majority feared lots of (what I think is) fertile mucas. I Googled and found lots of info on ovulation spotting/bleeding. However at times mine became very red/fresh which isn't how this is described. But clinging to hope I really hope this is what it was.

Unfortunately due to logistics we only managed to DTD Saturday and Sunday which has left me feeling like we've ruled ourselves out this month on this basis alone.

Pressed send too soon ... (also.. ttc no2 and majority of it featured)

I'd never even heard of ovulation bleeding before and although Google claims it actually indicates that you are very fertile, it doesn't feel that way! I am utterly desperate for a bfp (aren't we all!) ... but I can't find a single success story about experiencing this and then getting a bfp.

Any advice or anecdotes appreciated... I guess I'm in to the 2ww now and I'm already feeling nuts. I guess because I knew our chances where sooo slim before despite trying.. whereas as I'd had a period I really thought this just might be our month
:(

Hi cornish. I wouldn't say you've ruled yourselves out. I am almost certain you can concieve after ovulation. If you do concieve after ovulation then you're most likely to be blessed with a son. X
