I wish I could provide you with an answer and then hey presto, you are pregnant next cycle. But unfortunately no one can give that to you! I have been TTC for 3 years so I know the frustration!

Is the HSG test the only test you have had done so far? Are you being prescribed Clomid at 100mg for a set number or cycles and what are your next steps after that?

Yes, all fertility treatment is VERY expensive! It's very frustrating. I am about to embark on my seventh IVF and I am too scared to even add up how much I have spent!

Did they initially put you on the Clomid because they had done some tests that showed you weren't ovulating naturally? Or was it just something to try. I spent a year thinking the problem was me but it turned out my hubby has 100% abnormal sperm morphology. Has your partner been tested, seeing as obviously you are ovulating on Clomid, I don't know if IUI would produce any better result.

Are you doing all the basics? Have you read Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler and are you charting and using a fertility software like fertility friend or ovusoft (I liked ovusoft) and using a thermometer in farenheight as it's more accurate? Have you got a load of Internet cheapy ovulation sticks and use that to back up your charts? Use Pre-Seed when you ttc and insert a soft cup afterwards? Take Robitussin, drink green tea and grapefruit juice from af to ov? Etc etc.

I ttc for 5 years to get DD and for 3 years after I had her with my ex husband. It was hell on earth and I just wanted to die the whole time. I had an hsg, clomid, tried everything but in the end I think it was a simple case of ex and I were just not compatible. I managed to conceive on one go with someone else, and again on one go with another ex but I lost that one. Either my ex husband had poor sperm, though apparently his results were fine Hmm, or he and I just weren't matched, maybe I was too acidic or alkaline for his sperm to survive, maybe they didn't like my cervix or uterus. But whatever it was in the end I never had these problems with anyone else. There's the old obvious of just forgetting it and it will happen which I know is so frustrating and I wanted to scream when I heard that but honestly in the end with the husband that is what happened. I decided it was never going to happen and I was infertile, I went back to uni, we bought a wreck of a house, he started a new high pressure job and hey presto 2 weeks later I was pregnant. I know that's not what you want to hear but it's what happened with me.
