Can someone help me with my cycle?

Dp and I have decided to try for number 2. Number 1 was a happy accident so not sure about ttc.
So I took a pack of pills last month, had a bleed in the break and then began the next pack. 4 pills in we decided quite suddenly that we would like to ttc so I stopped. This was last Thurs and today I have started bleeding what seems like a period. Is this a period or another withdrawal bleed? Is this what I count as day 1 of my cycle or have I just fluffed up by stopping mid pack and going to take ages to figure out?! Thanks for any help in advance.

I suspect that's probably a withdrawl bleed similar to what you'd experience with a pill free week. But you have to start somewhere, so maybe for this month count that as cycle day 1.

It'll be another withdrawal bleed rather than a real period, because you won't have had time to ovulate in between stopping those pills and now! Wait until your next bleed (hopefully in a few weeks time but can sometimes take a couple of months or so) then that will be day 1 of your first proper cycle :)
You will ovulate at some point and so if you are lucky enough to conceive that quickly then you might not even get your period!

Thanks for your help. It's not very painful so more like a withdrawal - when I am not on the pill my period is usually really painful for a day or two. I didn't realise it could take a couple of months for a proper period thanks for the info
