Implantation Bleeding - Twice approx 10 days apart??

my last period started on 17.05.14.
we are trying to conceive and stopped contraception from 20.05.14.
10 days later on 30.05.14 I had what I thought was implantation bleeding, just brown/pinkish jelly (sorry if tmi!) when I wiped when I went to the loo. this lasted a week until 06.06.14.

but then on 10.06.14 I had a tiny bit of spotting, but this time more reddish in colour. again only very small amounts when wiping, no leakage on underwear. I've had this on and off until now. sometimes there are no speckles of blood when I go to the loo on the tissue, but other times there are, again only small amounts and underwear is not soiled.

I've taken about 6 pregnancy tests over the last week, but all negative.
my period is due tomorrow (17.06.14) so maybe too early.

I've read online that if you bleed twice can mean twins?

please can anyone advise what might be happening? could it possibly be a period starting earlier and very light?

I've had cramping on and off since the first bleed on 30.05.14.
also boobs have been sore on and off and metal taste in mouth with cramping in upper thighs.

I was gonna wait until 18.06.14 until contacting my doctor as don't think they can do anything as yet.

What sort of contraception were you on until 20 May? If you've only recently come off the pill or other hormonal contraception, then any random bleeding or spotting is most likely to be connected to that coming out of your system rather than pregnancy.

If it wasn't hormonal contraception and your cycle's been regular up till now, with no random spotting, then it could possibly be ovulation bleeding (rare but does happen)? 30 May would be a bit early for implantation bleeding I think, as you'd only just be ovulating around then if your period was 17 May. Really there is no way to tell for sure until your next period is well overdue. Sorry!

thanks for your reply.

we were using condoms before.

occasionally I've had bleeds inbetween periods, spoke to doctor about this about a year ago and had checks and all seemed ok.

when I had my first child I had intercourse at similar time after my period and had implantation bleeding 10 days afterwards.

I did have a C-section though (few years ago) so don't know if this is the reason why I'm bleeding twice.
