Ovary pain - good or bad

Hi all
Just looking for some advice. Currently on CD25 and over the past week or so, from about CD 19 I have been really suffering with a stitch type pain, mostly on my right hand side and where i imagine my right ovary to be. It hit the most uncomfortable on Friday night where i started to worry it was appendicitis or something. Phoned Dr and earliest appointment is for 20th June. Does anyone have any ideas, TTC #1 - hubby away from June 1st but DTD up to then, AF due 19th. Any thoughts welcome.

It could be anything and nothing, but from when I turned 21 I started to get uncomfortable pain when I ovulate. I spoke to the dr about it, I've had my ovaries scanned and there is nothing untoward going on and I still get an ache now when I'm ovulating.

When I conceived DS I had very uncomfortable pain in my side from when I ovulated until the day I was due on. One night it was agony, like a stitch and cramp all at once. It only lasted a few minutes at that intensity and then dulled down but it was scary. I got my BFP about 3 days later.

I know that ovarian cysts can cause discomfort, but then they can go undetected too so it's not always a sign. If it's around the time you know you are ovulating then it's likely to be just that, it has a name (which I can't remember) so it's definitely a recognised thing.

Fingers crossed it's a sign!

I get a similar pain each month when I ovulate. Of is called 'mittelschmerz' and is quite common, I think.

Thanks for all your reassuring words ladies. The only reason I don't think it's ovulation is coz AF is due the 19th, but then also don't think it can be a sign as hubby left on June 2nd which was only 11days after start of last AF. Dr are useless as first possible appointment is Friday. Then I think I am focusing on my stomach so I'm bound to feel things that I may sometimes not acknowledge! Being a woman is fun huh?!?

It could be nothing or something. Getting checked out is the right thing to do. But when I've conceive I always get one-sided ovary pain and a scan always showed it was the corpus luteum. 4 pregnancies, knew each time which side from the ovary pain.

I got a pain in my left ovary when I conceived. It lasted a few days. I remember thinking it felt strange. Best to get it checked out OP and fingers crossed for you.

Good luck Ajords1 !

I'm in a similar situation. Had very odd left ovary pain five days ago, totally unlike ovulation pain. It almost felt swollen. Now ive got really itchy boobs. Still a week until period is due so lots of waiting around. Half of me thinks i'm making things into symptoms.

I caved and did a test yesterday between 2-4 days before AF is due so think that's me out this month! For it to have happened I would have had to have ov'd on cd9 which I would have thought would mean it would show a BFP on CD 25 ish HmmHmm roll on July!! Baby dust to all! Thanks
