Test confusion

I tested on Friday using a promatris one step test (the nhs use these too) with fmu. A couple of seconds before the 10 mins was up I checked and there was a 2nd pink line. It was not as dark as the control line and it was thicker and blurry. I used the same tests and same lot number this morning using fmu and all were negative. Do you think fridays resuts was false or an evaporation line? or could todays all be false negatives despite using fmu again and the tests all being from the same batch?

I'm not sure but I got a nasty pink evap line on a superdrug test last week. It came up within the 10 mins but definitely after the 3 minute window, I was convinced that it was the start of a BFP but the next 2 First Response tests I did were negative - next 2 days.

I'm still waiting for AF, haven't been tracking my cycles so not sure when I should try and test again. Maybe buy a First Response and test again in the morning, I think they're the only ones which are reliable.

Best of luck :)

I thought as long as it was within 10 minutes then the result was valid?

How could you tell the difference between evap line and positive line if it was coloured? I thought evaps were more grey and shadowy?

Did you try the FRER?

With these test strips i think the line has to be more or less the same darkness as the valid test line. I also use these and have thought many a time that there was another line but it does say on one of the strip packs i bought that a faint line does not mean pregnant. Gutting i know. Hope all goes well for you though

oh really? which brand did you use? I've never known the instructions to say that. on mine it says something about 2 lines giving a positive result regardless of depth of colour.
