Should I take a test?

Started TTC this month, period is due today. I worked out when ovulation was likely to be (just date wise, no temping etc) and we DTD around that time, though not as much as we would have liked.
Period is normally very regular, tends to appear AM etc but no sign of it yet.
Should I try a test or is it too early?

I'd test, you've done v.well to hold out this long.

Good luck.

omg TEST! I'm 2 days before my af is due and I've tested 4 times already. Smile

although 3 have shown positive.... but not getting stronger so possibly a chemical pregnancy and af will turn up as normal. So there are pros and cons to testing early! But your af is due today so def not too early. Smile

Ok so I tested using a test from the pound shop (I'd seen in here they were accurate enough). I got this massive line which I think is a guide line or something. I think the lines if they appear are meant to be horizontal but there were about 3 faint vertical lines. Really not sure! Going to go buy a digital one tomorrow if AF doesn't show up. I'd actually kind of forgotten about it as I've been off on holiday and out if my routine, and suddenly I thought omg it's today! It's the DH's birthday party tonight so I'm going to have to not get too distracted!

OMG I think it's positive Shock got a clearblue twin pack with one normal test and one digital... Used the normal one so far and can definitely see something! Just summoning up enough pee to try the digital one.

I'm in shock!

Smile Smile Smile just to caution you... the digi ones are not that sensitive and some people don't get positive until a week aftwr af is due!

It said pregnant too! Very surprised, as we didn't think we'd dtd enough around ovulation as at that time a job has come up that I'm applying for and truly wasn't expecting to get pregnant in the first month! Being made redundant so still need to apply Blush but that's a whole other thread.
