Petroleum based lubricant whilst TTC

Dear all
I was wondering if someone could offer me some advice re petroleum jelly.
DH and I DTD last night on CD8 at night and I somewhat struggled with lubrication so in the heat of the moment, I grabbed some Diprobase and used as a lubricant only to read about it this morning that petroleum jelly products should not be used when TTC as it stops sperm swimming through the fallopian tubes. Of course, I have been beside myself with worry as we have been TTC for some months now and cannot believe I stupidly used Diprobase.
Does anyone know how long it takes for oil based lubricant to stay within the vagina?
Any advise is welcome.
TYIA.

Hi there, you are right in that only certain lubes can be used while ttc i.e. "sperm friendly" ones like preseed and conceive plus. However you should still be in with a shot this month! The vagina naturally cleanses itself out with all its secretions etc and so it should have got rid of any remaining diprobase within a day or two. Good luck :)

While there is a market for 'sperm friendly' lubes, most otc lubes all state quite specifically they are 'Not a contraception'

I conceived DS using a boots own brand. try not to fuss
