Going crazy waiting for AF... Anyone else?

Hi Ladies - this is my first post!
I'm a mum of 2. On Saturday DH looked at me funny and asked if I was pregnant - haven't been trying but haven't been over careful either so it hadn't crossed my mind. But then I started thinking that I've had sore boobs (thought I needed to buy a new bra!) and since I've been starving hungry, tired, crampy at times and feeling a bit ikky - it could so easily be just PMT. So now I'm driving myself completely crazy wondering what if. AF due today and I can't afford to buy a test unnecessarily so it's a case of waiting it out for a few more days. Anyone else going crazy waiting...?

1moretime - I know because we haven't baby danced all month!!!!!!!!!
Unless I slept through the whole thing?!!! (doubtful!!) Grin

he was just too stressed not having a job for a month so hopefully he starts a new job tomorrow and we can spend more time together in the biblical sense!!

Sure I've ovulated though so now waiting for AF.

PassTheCakeitsbeenatough1 · 16/06/2014 20:08

Finally found a thread that I can relate to, BluePeter your month sounds exactly like mine! I'm waiting it out at the moment, I haven't been taking note of AF very well but I think it was May 15th, I get uncomfortable ovaries when I ovulate so I think that was about CD 13 and my cycles are usually 28 days but can sometimes be 31. So I think I'm due AF today, I did test last week because we weren't careful but it was negative.

I did get a nasty evap line on a Superdrug test, it was pink and came up within 10 mins. Rushed out and bought First Response pack of 2 and did them for 2 consecutive morning - both BFN :(. That was Friday and Saturday. Evap lines are not always grey.

Today I feel sick and thirsty, and so very tired. I think it's PMT though. I'll wait it out with you guys.

Good luck to you all!

1moretime · 16/06/2014 20:13

Awww bluepetermummy so sorry hun.
Ns girl i feel for you ..my last cycle was 56 days.
Have you had any tests done hun? Do you have irreg periods? X

nsgirl · 16/06/2014 21:55

I haven't yet... My gp thinks I have been through a mmc, but I'm starting to doubt I was ever pregnant now :( swaying between convincing myself I'm pg and just praying for AF. Dh is away this week too which isn't helping as without company I'm just obsessing.

Sorry- that little rant just had to come out! Do you have long cycles all the time 1time? Do you use opks? X

PassTheCakeitsbeenatough1 · 16/06/2014 22:25

1moretime thanks :), going to hold out another few days and then test again. I wasn't aware that I'd feel so anxious about all of this, I didn't set out to 'try' but now I'm obsessing. That's a good idea to tell AF to take a vacation, think I might do the same.

Oh so sorry BluePeter, i hope you feel ok. Here for support if you need :).

fattycow · 17/06/2014 09:29

Hi everyone!
I'm new here, so bear with me if I ask silly questions or such.

My period was due yesterday. I took a test last morning, which was negative. I feel very nauseous, my eyes are sore and I'm tired, but I don't think those are conclusive signs. I will wait for Wednesday or Thursday before I test again, although waiting is hard...

fattycow · 17/06/2014 10:45

I keep having to pee! I went to the toilet 45 minutes ago and I'm bursting again. Granted, I do drink a lot, but I always do that.

nsgirl have you had a +hpt at all or why is your GP assuming a mmc? For what it's worth, I had an 80+ day cycle last year, which I believe was caused by stress, and got a BFP at the end of it (though that one sadly did end in a mmc).

nsgirl · 17/06/2014 21:39

Hopefulmum it is really nice to hear a reasonable answer. That so makes sense and also explain all the tempting symptoms I keep having.
Gp has said that my body should 'absorb the tissue back' ( sounds really horrible!) But if I still haven't bled in 2 weeks she will arrange a scan. She wanted to straight away but the hospital said we had to wait. Why is this always about waiting?! If there is any question surely it would be better to check asap?! Sorry for the personal question but what happened after your op? Did you go back to s normal cycle? Have you conceived? I am so so scared

KeepSmiling83 · 17/06/2014 21:52

AF is due on Saturday but have started getting the tell tale back ache which I always get a few days before. This is #2 and we have only been trying a couple of months but it didn't take this long with our DD so I'm already thinking something must be wrong. If its not this month then we will have to stop TTC for a little while so I'm especially sad!!

ChristinaYang · 17/06/2014 22:39

Hi ladies! Mind if I join in?

8DPO here, TTC #2. Symptom spotting like mad. Have a wedding on Sat (11DPO) so going to test that morning, think that might be too early?

Good luck to the rest of you waiting x

PassTheCakeitsbeenatough1 · 17/06/2014 23:35

nsgirl, so sorry you are having to wait longer to get an answer from the drs. I'd keep on at them, don't let them keep putting you off. I'm not one for tempting fate but could you say you were experiencing pain or something? You are an urgent case for a scan so it's not as if you'd be taking an appointment unnecessarily. Keep us updated and stay strong.

BFN for me again today, no AF but I feel like she's on her way. I was convinced the test would be positive today because of all the symptoms I've been having, then a few people at work complained about having symptoms of a stomach bug and I realised I just felt the same Hmm.

Hope everyone is hanging in there.

Hi hopeful mum I'm so sorry I didn't respond sooner and a huge thank you for such support. I am using your advice to push and have made an appointment with my gp again this week. I really think she wants to help but I have a past experience of referrals here and they seem to take forever, no matter what your being referred for! (I am a great advocate of the NHS usually in all other matters other than referrals!) I'm just trying to be positive now and try to let my body de-stress. If the scan shows nothing I will have to eventually start having periods again! this baby just wasn't ours to enjoy and at least we lost it early.
