hiya girls, i'm pretty new to this but i just want some info in case i'm not alone.
i have celiac disease i have known this for about 2-3years now, i am on a gluten free diet and i'm pretty healthy apart form that no other health issues.
anyway i'm 24years old, me and my partner have been trying to conceive for awhile now. I've been off the pill since around the 20th august 2013 but i started when i was 16 years old i have been on many different pills both the mini and the other one can't remember what that one is called lol.
I'm starting to think maybe I can't have children.
I have had scans in the past and everything seems fine so I've been told by the ladies that have scanned me.
period wise I haven't stopped having them tho the past two have been late by 3-5 days and nothing spectacular just was just abit of a dribble if anything, I have however (i think) ovulated that white sticky stuff witch i think that is what it is.
I would like to know if any of you girls have had this happen?
I've been to see my GP today and she said give it three more months and then if nothing has happened then to come back an see what the problem is I.E blood test and a scan on my pelvis.
My partner is very healthy and goes the gym alot if that makes any difference.
I'm getting pretty emotional thinking that I may not be able to conceive.

The next step would for you both to go to your GP to be referred for tests. I think most doctors won't refer you for tests until you have been trying for a year, so you've got a couple more months trying...
What 'scans' have you had already?
Normally, they will do blood tests to check you are ovulating properly, and also do a semen analysis for your DP

It is far too early to panic though. Have a read through some of the other threads on there, and you'll probably learn lots about the processes, and what sort of tests might work for you.

Hey yoshi, I too came off the pill in july/aug time, it's mad to think I assumed I'd have a baby/be pregnant by now... Still waiting! I might give it til xmas before I start looking into tests etc. I'm beginning to just accept the disappointment each month!

I was pill free for 12 months before I conceived. I was really starting to panic and resigned myself to going for tests, then it happened unexpectedly. Try not to worry, keep going and go back if nothing happens in a few months time.

Hi girls thanks for the replies!
I used to suffer with water infections after each period with one if the pills I was on, so I had a scan to see if there was anything was going on and the lady said that it was all fine and I was in good nic.
Yeah my doctor said to leave it for a few more months before the test starts so if nothing has happened by September then I will be going back to see what's going on, my partner is gonna come with me an see if his swimmers are swimming!
I'll have a look on on some other threads.
Thanks girls :)
