Telling family/friends

I know there's probably a thread about this in the pregnancy forums but I'm curious how people feel before they get pregnant.. (Plus we can all check back and see if we followed our own advice when we get our BFPs!)

So...when you get your BFP, when do you plan on telling your close family? Rest of family? Friends?

I want to wait until 12 week scan, but we'll see how I manage..I have a big mouth ha

We managed to wait for the 12 week scan the first time around before telling anyone, family included. TTCing number two and I've just had a miscarriage and - probably because I'm still feeling quite raw - in hindsight I'm glad we did. If/when I get pregnant again, we'll likely wait at least ten weeks or so but logistically will need someone to look after DS while we go to the scan - so will probably just tell that person.
