Hi, took a long time to conceive dc1, however when I tested with dc1 I got Bfp on day 29 of cycle. Cycle usually 28-31 days, once had 34 days. But am ten days late, no Bfp. Unsure what to do. Anyone ever had a Bfp despite cheaply Internet tests and a first response ( after 5 days late). Or gone to dr's. do not want to waste an appointment.

Hi hun. Its frustrating isnt it!
I was 11 days late last month & had about 15 BFN!
I have pcos tho so irreg cycles.
If your cycles are norm always between 28-34days then it could be that your preg; but not enough hcg yet. Perhaps you ov later?? Xx

Hi - yes, it is frustrating. I have no diagnosis of PCOS, although have issues maintaining pregnancy and need medication to support a pregnancy (hence I have to test if late) and it took years to conceive dc1. I have never been this late before, no idea why. No real stress, not ill.
If I ovulated later, unlikely I timed things right so less likely to be pregnant. Think will leave it another week. Not sure what a gp can do. Already told me will not refer me for testing as have one child. Been ttc#2 for 20months now and am 39.

The fact you will need medication to help maintain a pregnancy, i would suggest going to the gp this week if you can, esp if you have never been this late before.
They will beable to take a blood test to measure hcg. At least then you will know & can have the medication if you are, rather than waiting until next week xx

5 days late here and still a bfn... Going crazy here too I wonder when it's acceptable to go to gp and get bloods done ?
