I'm a first timer to Mumsnet, but I am looking for advice. This may be a bit long but I want to provide as much information as I can for you all.

Basic information is that I am 25 and in a relationship - my partner is 31 and we have been an item for over a year. We own our own home and are very settled. I had my contraceptive implant removed a couple of months ago and am now on the pill.
I've had an idea for a while that my other half wants children soon, deep down I knew I did too but didn't want to bring anything up incase I got it wrong. However, he brought this up himself a couple of weeks ago and want's us to start trying later this month.
However, there are a few things that are worrying me - the first is that I'm Rhesus Negative. This was found out 4 years ago when I had a termination (please do not judge me - it was a decision that I made due to the circumstances that I found myself in at the time). Having now read up on this I have become very anxious about the whole thing after reading the risks.
The second issue is that my partner works away for 8 weeks at a time, to then come home for 4 weeks and so on. I don't want him missing out on anything and I am worried about how I will cope basically alone for those 8 weeks.

If anyone has been in either of these positions, please can you provide some sort of advice. This is something that we both want but I feel like I am putting a dampener on it by stressing myself out with this.

Thanks!

Jen :)
