High Frustration. Negative Pregnancy test but Period is 2 Days Late (I'm NEVER, Ever Late).

I took an early detection pregnancy test 4 days before my period which was negative. Oh well I thought, that's it for this month, same as usual :( However now my period is two days late and I am never, ever late. My periods are every 28 days like clockwork and have been since I had my mirena iud removed in March 2013. This is so frustrating because I'm 99% sure I'm not pregnant but I have this niggling 1% of (desperate) hope.

I think I will wait a few days and see what happens. I just hate that my body is now messing with my mind! I could really do without the false hope. I think I just needed to get that out!

I'm in a similar position Rainbunny was expecting to start today but nothing and a negative test. My cycles have varied a little bit though so not completely out of the ordinary. If you are usually like clock work and now two days late then it sounds promising, some women take longer for the pregnancy hormone to show on a test so there is still hope. It is so frustrating though having to wait though. Good luck!

So you've only done one test 4 days before your period was due? You need to poas again now you're 2 days over before you write off the possibility.

Well I took a First Response test which is supposed to be 96% accurate at 4 days prior to anticipated period. TBH I'm so tired of seeing negative test results that I'm just going to wait for my period to start (whilst obsessing about this over the next few days...) I guess I just want to put off knowing the inevitable.

Part of my frustration is that until now I could always trust my body clock. I've just now started feeling the slight twinges I get right before my period starts so I think I'll have my answer shortly. From now on I won't be able to trust that a late period means anything.

Thank god for boards like this where I can share my irrational feelings about this TTC business!
