I'm not trying to conceive now, but the doctor did some hormone tests because my periods average at every 35 days and we were both curious as to why. My progesterone has come back low, with the note: Day 21 (day -7) progesterone <30 nmol/L suggests inadequate corpus luteum function. Progesterone range shown for luteal phase. My result came back as 2.4nmol/L whilst normal is 5.3-86 apparently. What does this mean? She said that I probably don't ovulate every month but there are things I can do to guide me into when is a good time to conceive. But as that wasn't the primary concern of the visit that is all that was said. We're in a position where we won't be able to think about kids for another couple of years yet at least financially (DP at uni, my health is possibly going to make working after having a baby difficult). Is this something I need to worry about? Will it get worse? All other hormone levels came back fine.
