Hi Tezza,
I'm in exactly same position. 3rd month ttc and despite always being reasonably regular (between 32-36 days) first month was 48 days! Then to make matters worse 7days after AF finished, AF came again so I only had a cycle of 14 days! I also wasn't on anything before we started TTC so I don't know why it has changed suddenly. Currently on day 27 of third cycle but not sure when I ovulated. Iv been trying the tester kits everyday but the result seems the same everyday and so far I don't think I have had a positive result for ovulation so I don't know what to make of all that.
I felt really positive about the whole TTC process and now I'm just confused and worrying which probably isn't helping things at all!

I got like 50 ovulation sticks off amazon for 7.00 odd. I've received dark lines on them month 2 and 3 but didn't test 1st month. I have heard they don't work for everyone.. maybe try a different brand. R u holding ur urine for upto 4 hrs if poss and not diluting the held urine nd not using morning urine? Do u have any children? I'm sure worrying isn't helping but it can't b helped. X

This will be baby #1 for us so it's all very new and unknown. I also got amazon cheapo sticks and am doing the 4 hr hold, minimal liquid intake and not first morning. This is our first month using them so will have to wait and see. Hubby recons he knows my body quite well and that we are not at ovulating time yet. If that's the case this cycle is going to be a long one!
How about u - any children currently?

tezza1989xx · 09/06/2014 21:17

Same here.. first :) just hoping it's not going to be a long process. Yeah sounds like it might be. Maybe u shud go see about ur recent irregularities? Hopefully it won't take long for u either :) xx

Having recently got married and bought a new house we are signing up to a new family GP so I think if it carries on being all over the place I will go have a chat. Gonna maybe give it another month or so as I'm not one to jump to the docs straight away. Still doing the ovulation sticks so will wait and see. Maybe hubby is right! Wink
It's is so difficult with your first though right.. U just don't know what to expect and what is normal and what's not! Some people say the stress TTC can mess up your cycles (so ironic) but not really clued up on all that! It's also difficult as we are keeping it our little secret so I don't have anyone to chat or vent to.. Only poor hubby and think he is getting a little annoyed at my worrying! Thank goodness for discussion groups! Smile

tezza1989xx · 10/06/2014 18:44

I'm the same. I don't want to talk about it to others and my bf is not really chatty deep talking person. He just agrees and is like I dunno lol. Easy in sum situations but frustrating In others. Congrats on marriage etc . Yeah big changes ain't it so that could be it :) I do reckon it's true coz as soo as we started trying that's it.. lol my body changed. I haven't changed my diet etc yet so if It doesn't happen soon then I will make adjustments to improve my chances.. only thing different is folic acid. Xx

Thanks!
Hubby is affected by stress easily so although he is happy to talk to me about stuff all night if necessary I know it is not best for him so trying to give off a happy positive me vibe even though I'm all worried.
I have been taking folic acid and pregnancy vits on alternate days (preg vits bung me up!) but not changed eating habits although I am trying to drink more water. I'm notorious for having a low liquid intake so trying hard to remember to get my 8 glasses a day.
I know currently there is no little bean but it seems far more important when I'm doing it for their benefit. Grin

I'm new to this too, and also just finishing my 3rd month of trying... horrendous PMT and brown spotting since last night so I think AF is going to get me despite being a few days early!!

I know 3 months isn't that long but doesn't it just feel like a lifetime....??

And I'm so glad it isn't just me who feels I can't talk to fiance about this. His best mate told him never to actively "try" because it's unromantic and you know what men are like they listen to their mates more than us so guess what, we're just "seeing how it goes." Well it's not going at all! gaaah!

tezza1989xx · 11/06/2014 20:17

Sarah.. so frustrating when u come on early.. like when I was 9 days early.. really wasn't expecting it. Always clock work my periods r. So confusing and since then I no longer get pms symptoms I experienced well since forever lol. Yeah it really does feel like a life time.. i really do feel for people who spent years tryin.. must be so upsetting. Haa it is unromantic but it's also unromantic when my oh jumps on me in the morning (morning breath eyes full of sleep etc) but no he don't see it like that haha. Men heeeey. HaHa. I hope ur af doesn't arrive in full flow for you.. xxx

Baby salt.. can like taking vitamins etc change ur periods slightly at all? Ur body reacting to change? Just a thought ? I'm terrible at drink in water.. I'm a massive tea and coffee drinker.. i have been cutting down though..How old r u can i askxxx

Tezza I'll be 28 next month. U?
I did think the vits could have screwed me up a bit hence the alternate day scenario which seems to be ok. I don't really want to stop taking them just in case so guess I will not fully know.
Got a darkish line on ovulation kit yesterday (still not quite as dark as control line) and then virtually no line today so guessing that was my hormone surge. If that's right then I'm gonna have another (well hopefully not!) 45 day cycle so it seems that since TTC my cycle has added 10 days to itself! Oh joy!
And yes Sarah three months seems like an eternity! I can't imagine what it must feel like after a year or so. Hubby is still pushing his go with flow idea but I'm of the mind anything that can help is worth it. He laughed when I put my legs in the air last night after dtd but then agreed it was sensible and told me off for getting up after 15mins. Guys huh! Make your minds up! Wink
