Yes , a faint one but a plus in any case on the cb . I don't know when to quit this. with my history it seems pretty pointless . The problem I had trying to have dd seems to be there still . Afraid ivf would end the same way but cost us thousands and put myself through it all for nothing . If we could I'd get on with gestational surrogacy in the US with the same agency we used although who knows if I could make any embryos

Treaclepie19 · 09/06/2014 21:05

So sorry Nordic, you have had such a terrible time.

I wish I had some advice but I can only offer a hug. Look after yourself xxx

Nordicmom · 09/06/2014 21:06

Thanks girls. Getting pretty angry now more than sad. Trying to distract myself ...

spinningirl10 · 09/06/2014 21:07

Oh Nordic, I'm so sorry, you have had such a tough time and really deserve a sticky bfp ThanksWine

Genni, symptom spotting at 1dpo, love it Grin Yes they do sound similar and like you I find it so hard telling him I'm not pregnant when af arrives.

gennibugs · 09/06/2014 21:13

nordic I'm so sorry. Have you discussed it with a doctor at all?

MrsGingerbread · 09/06/2014 21:16

Goodness ladies, I've spent all evening just reading the posts! Welcome newbies, hope your journey is short and sweet!
nordic really sorry you've had such a hard time, really heart breaking! Hugs!!!
kitty really hoping these are good signs and you're the next in line with an announcement.

Quick question: no doubt the ic hpts are rubbish but what about the ic opks, any good? Are they of equal quality at detectiny ov as other opks? Did one today and negative. Despite the ewcm (which is making ff all cobfused) it's still early for ov, but wonder if I should use better opks in a day or two's time..?

Treaclepie19 · 09/06/2014 21:53

I'm not see about ic opks.

My boobs are so sore tonight. No chance I'm pregnant so not sure what it is.

Treaclepie19 · 09/06/2014 21:54

*sure.
Ive only used the cb digi's. Much prefer temping though.

Skippingthroughthefarm · 09/06/2014 22:08

Anyone on this thread using agnus castus for OV ?

silverine · 09/06/2014 22:14

I usually go by temping and lucas too but thought I'd give opks a go too this cycle. Tried them before (boots ones) although not religiously every day etc but never had a good positive.
treacle could it be your body readjusting?
Mrsg sorry to see you back on the buses... but glad tosee you getting back in the flow of it.

Treaclepie19 · 09/06/2014 22:35

I used cb digi alongside temping. Last time though I used too many sticks as it took ages to get my peak.

It could be, I feel a bit odd in general today. Very tired, boobs hurt, cramping. I'd say pregnant or period but definitely not pregnant and I'm guessing my period won't be for another 3-5 weeks.

KittyVonCatsington · 09/06/2014 22:35

silverine -can only comment on this cycle using ics, but have used CB digis since Jan and just kept getting highs-only +VE I got was when I randomly tested at 4pm not FMU in cases!

Used OneStep ic OPK this cycle and found them easy to use. Tested between 2pm and 5pm from CD12 onwards (late ovulator) and got clear +VE on CD17 lovely ladies helped me confirm it on the last thread

I liked that I could test for a couple of days after to confirm when surge went away too, rather than CB not letting you test anymore. I had a flooded window with it once so a false positive but couldn't use the holder again. Pah!!

I am therefore, currently an ic fan [fan]

KittyVonCatsington · 09/06/2014 22:37

Oh and according to my ff chart silverine I got my +VE opk day after my EWCM ended and I just had wet cm. HTH Grin

MrsBeeBeeBee · 09/06/2014 22:41

I had a good experience with ic opks.
Got a def positive, and a bfp the first month I used them! Think we'd stopped too early before as turned out I oved a bit later than I thought.
So thumbs up from me.

Still here as a cheerleader, hope that's ok folks!

poohsticks123 · 09/06/2014 23:00

I've caved and purchased some ic opks, arrived todayGrin. I have a couple of questions for you lovely ladies though...
Do you need to leave them the full 10 mins to show up? dh doesn't need to know about this purchase so am thinking about doing at work in the loo, but 10 mins could be an issue! And do you have to do it at a particular time of day/not drink etc before hand?
dh currently away on work, on cd9, so fx ov holds of until Friday when he returns (might well be a lot later than that based on last loooong cycle!).

Biscuit andBrew to everyone

silverine · 09/06/2014 23:08

Thanks ladies! Will stick to the ics then and maybe back up with others on day of expected ov. Wanna make sure we're doing everything possible this cycle!..

Threnody · 09/06/2014 23:26

Poohsticks - Used ic opks this month - had to leave it to get to room temp then test was quite speedy on +ve day.

silverine · 09/06/2014 23:42

sticks I'm cd10 today so we're almost cycle buddies. Glaf there'll be someone to share the journey with to the end.

ChandlersFarang · 10/06/2014 03:08

Wow this bus is so chatty!! To pick up a couple of things from earlier:

Acupuncture - my first session on Sunday was lovely and relaxing! The doctor put needles in my stomach, legs, arms and hands to encourage my blood to flow towards my uterus. I could feel my blood rushing around my body, even though my heart rate was slow - was cool! Had had a good sleep beforehand but made me feel really sleepy. Apparently it can help some people ovulate after a few session you're having problems there - found some reputable research online.

Thanks kitty and others for your comments on the sore-nips-immediately-after-ov thing! That's quite reassuring. Once they turned up I'd immediately written off this cycle as a failure, by 2DPO!! Talking of reputable research, lol, Googling ttc things is a right bastard. Basically you can google anything and it will tell you either what you do or don't want to hear, and get instantly disappointed/excited as a result!

I was advised not to do any running/vigorous exercise during the TWW by my acupuncturist but not sure whether to listen to that. I usually exercise every day and it's got to be better carry on. Might go swimming or something gentle like that instead. Hot season in Thailand really isn't the time for outdoor walking, annoyingly!! Appaz the first few days are more of an issue as too much jumping around could impact on implantation. Hmm. We shall see.

Sorry to hear about all your struggles Nordic. You must be super thankful for the two you have now. Fx for you. Thanks

ChandlersFarang · 10/06/2014 05:22

Ok here's a slightly different spin on the sore nips query.

After ov for the last 3 cycles, I've had sore nips DPO1-3, and increased creamy CM from CD3. Obvs wasn't preg on any. Now I'm getting used to my cycles, I guess that's just what my body does post-ov.

IF you were pregnant, would you still get your body's 'usual post-ov symptoms'? Anyone that's had a BFP before got any experience there?

I suppose I'm assuming the symptoms would be different post-ov if fertilisation had occurred. But this is a very early point after ov (pre-implantation) so maybe not...

spinningirl10 · 10/06/2014 06:54

MorningGrin

I've only read the last 2 of chandlers posts and jumped in to say I find the exercise thing interesting. I exercise most days quite vigorously and I did wonder about this. The month I got my bfp we had been on a road trip in America and the only exercise I did was walking....3 days after I came home I got a bfp! I know lots of people do exercise a lot and get sticky bfps but now I'm older maybe I should take it easier after ov?!

Re symptoms I don't know really. With both of my bfps which were 10 years apart my only real symptom which made me poas was constant peeing!! Last time I also noticed the veins in my boobs were raised. Other things like nausea I've realised I often have anyway, especially when I'm hungry!
