Oops posted too soon, was going to say I'll read back later when I've got a minute....must get dressedGrin

spinningirl10 · 10/06/2014 07:51

I use ic opks from cd 8/9, when the line gets darker usually cd 10/11 I use the cb opk to see the smiley face and confirm positive. I'm lucky I'm regular so could probably do without them but I like to enter it into ffGrin

ChandlersFarang · 10/06/2014 08:01

Thanks spinning, I remember you're an exerciser from last time this came up! Your name is a bit of a clue - is spinning your main poison? I used to cycle to work/everywhere when I was in the UK, so I got into a bit of spinning out here to keep me in check! Mostly I do circuit training and body combat, but as I'm 3DPO have decided to switch to swimming and yoga for a few days.

Reading info from fertility clinic websites, they do ask their clients not to do anything 'high impact' (running, boxing, aerobic jumping around, heavy weights etc) until after implantation which is interesting. Your anecdote about your BFP is interesting! Could be a total coincidence but then again...?!?

Wineandchoccy · 10/06/2014 08:12

Good morning ladies, I have used ic opks and ones from home bargain and I get a strong line when ovulation due.

Interesting about exercise I wonder if it is to do with your body temperature getting to hot? In January when I got my BFP I hadn't done any exercise because I had hurt my neck.

I am going on holiday later today and I'm not taking my iPad so won't have any Internet so when I return I want to see at least 10 BFP's, come on ladies you can do it.

AF finally stopped in time for my hols as well so lots of sun, sangria and sex for the next 10 days Grin

Spotti · 10/06/2014 08:13

New OBEM tomorrow! No idea why it's changed from Monday to Wednesday, but hey!

Had a really weird night last night, had to pee 5 times in just over an hour...could have been the Ribena I drank with my tea (not had Ribena in aaaages) but there's a little part if me that's hoping it's a SYMPTOM...

(Why do I do this to myself? I'm going to be so sad if I get a BFN on Friday :()

gennibugs · 10/06/2014 08:50

wow the exercise thing is interesting. i gym/run most days and I wondered if it might impact implantation but thought I was being silly! I'm wondering what to do now....I'm a real natural chubster if I don't exercise..

have a nice holiday wine! I'm very envious.

FloweryBoots · 10/06/2014 09:05

Nordic. sorry you're feeling low. It's so tough. I can't really say I can imagine how you feel because it's not somethign I've experienced but hope you find some strength and can keep going.

Gennie. Now now now. That really is a bit early.

CD28 for me. Cycles post DD have been 34, 33, 36, 30. So I'm getting close to either a period or doig a test. Trying to not think about it too much clearly failing

Stepawayfromthezebras · 10/06/2014 09:11

Nordic, I'm so sorry AF arrived, I hadn't realised you'd got a +. It's so unfair Sad

I have just figured out that IC means internet cheapie. Been bugging me for ages!

spinningirl10 · 10/06/2014 09:13

Ooh spotti the peeing is a good sign!

Wine, think I said this yesterday but enjoy your holiday. Pleased bleeding has stopped.

Chandler, used to do lots of spinning but now I run and cycle and do high impact aerobics. Used to love body combat but I moved away from my the gym I used. It's only this morning that I've realised that in the month I got my bfp I hadn't done any exercise during the time implantation would have happened, hmm I wonder?!

ChandlersFarang · 10/06/2014 09:33

Have a lovely time away Wine!! Sounds like you will from your list of intended activities Grin

The link below is a good and grounding read for anyone on the TWW - and another place that suggests toning down the full-on exercise and switching for something lower impact. Genni, spinning - you are both healthy sorts!! Which must stand us in good stead for ttc Smile

silverine · 10/06/2014 10:00

Chandlers just to add on acupuncture. I've been having it over the last 3 cycles or so and found it pretty good. Obviously no bfp to show for it (this might be to do with other things like dtd timing) but the last cycle especially itdid all it was meant to: keep temp down first, stimulate ewcm, keep temp high post-ov etc. So can't complain. The needles in the uterus can be uncomfortable but apart from twinges when they go in don't feel like much after that. Keeping fx about getting bfp this month so we can move onto making it stick.

Re exercise, that's been my general feeling too. I'm not massive but I do need to lose some weight. But have been going to the gym only pre-ov and sticking to just moving and walking more post-ov. I know that's probablyold wives tales but don't want to chance it...

Aprilray · 10/06/2014 10:01

That's interesting re exercising - you girls are making me feel really lazy, I walk quite a bit and do a dance class once a week but apart from that I'm a bit of a couch potato. Ooh, thanks for the tip re OBEM Spotti love it.

Even I am getting bored of my no AF/BFN posts - yawn! Still no AF here, at this rate I will be joining the Friday POAS party....14DPO today, was convinced AF had arrived this morning as was so crampy but nada and now cramps have gone. Temps are staying just above cover line. Getting a bit fed up now.

Mam31 · 10/06/2014 10:02

Hi ladies! Interesting about the exercise, I do jog (not fast run) 3-4 times a week. But I feel awful when I don't as it's the only exercise I enjoy!

Wine I'm so jealous! Have an amazing hol so glad af has cleared off for it! :)

Spotti thanks for obem reminder...not sure why I watch it as the pangs for a baby become unbearable! but it's a good watch! DH likes watching it as well, apart from the gory bits!

Well my body is playing cruel tricks this month and I am determined not to get my hopes up as it's soul destroying. I also think

Mam31 · 10/06/2014 10:05

Stupid phone!

I was saying I think the lack of usual sore boobs pre af and so far no spotting is to do with the change in my diet as I have no bloating or fluid so no sore boobs!

Must stay realistic!!!!!

Spotti · 10/06/2014 10:38

It's bloody not a good sign spinning...or at least not a very welcome sign! EVERY time I got warm and comfy last night, BAM, needed to pee. Was NOT impressed. (Finally got to sleep a bit after 11 - went to bed at half 9 - and I was up again this morning at 5). If this is a good sign re:BFP, I hope it's not a sign of what's to come...not looking forward to peeing 5 times a night before I can sleep!

Yay for OBEM - only remembered because I saw an advert whilst I was already on here memory like a sieve...and nope, that's not a SYMPTOM, I'm just plain forgetful lol.

Currently sat eating an early lunch of a Tesco 'party' salad bowl with broad bean, asparagus and mint houmus...Mmm Mmm mmmmmmmmm! does that cancel out the big fat packet of crisps I ate for breakfast?

PolytheneGirl · 10/06/2014 10:58

Saw this and thought of y'all!

Mam31 · 10/06/2014 11:09

Haha! Poly! Very good :)

spinningirl10 · 10/06/2014 11:14

Yay for obemGrin

Ah Mama, I know what you mean about it being soul destroying, I am quietly keeping fingers crossed for you.

Spotti, the frequent peeing continued throughout both of my pregnancies. I had to travel to London for a funeral when I was very heavily pregnant with dd, it's a four hour car journey and my poor mum had to stop every half hour for me to pee....often behind a bushSmile

Interesting reading about the exercise chandler, I might try modifying but won't stop altogether.

Mam31 · 10/06/2014 11:39

Thanks spinning! Same for you! When is your bfp due?? What do you think about jogging? Would that be classed as vigorous exercise?

Cpt1sock · 10/06/2014 12:04

I wrote a long message at 7:15 this morn, I must have clicked preview instead of post and then shut page down so it's all gone Angry what a wally!!

Anyway I was up at 4:30 with suspected Af pains, not due until Sunday so was feeling pretty miserable. I've still bought a first response test though, don't know if to do it. I'm craving food and lots of it as I do every month before AF, think I'll just be setting myself up for disappointment if I test now but I really want to, arghhh, what would you do?

I've not read back over this morns post yet, will read through while having lunch but hope everyone is well & having a good day xxxx

Treaclepie19 · 10/06/2014 12:05

Spotti peeing is a good sign. I was fed up of my 3 am wee trips!

ChandlersFarang · 10/06/2014 12:06

Mama, jogging would count as high-impact exercise I think. What I'm gathering is the toned down exercise shouldn't be in any way jarring on the body - yoga, brisk walking, swimming, normal speed cycling... No/low-impact stuff basically.

Spinning I totally agree, I'm going to be exercising but sticking to the above for a little while.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 10/06/2014 12:09

Sorry ladies a bit off topic but I've just clocked it will be my eldest sons prom this time next year. I'm wondering if metalling I'm too old to do this again? Even if I do get pg soonish there will be at least 16 possibly 17 years between my eldest and my youngest ! I'm tired today, so that's probably not helping Wink

Aprilray · 10/06/2014 12:26

Cpt apparently early pregnancy and AF pains are similar (that's what I keep reminding myself to make myself feel better about mine) I would try and hold out on testing if you can. There is a POAS party on Friday, you could always try then and you would have a better chance of a BFP Smile

xBlueberry88x · 10/06/2014 12:40

Ladies I have a new symptom pain....

Electrical like pains in the right side of my stomach and down towards my pelvis.

I vaguely remember poking pains in my foof during the night to.

Weird.

Ill read back in a sec.
