New to FF ...help with chart please :)

Hi.
I only started charting my temp midway through my cycle, so i know its not going to give a proper pic this month. I havent got a proper bbt yet so using a digi one.

Anyhow iv no idea how it all works & this is what it looks like so far. Why are my temps up & down tho? I have pcos too.

I am currently on Day 29 & ff is predicting my next period to be due on the 14th.....10 days away xx

Are you taking them at roughly the same time every morning and are you taking them exactly after you wake, but before you move, throw covers off etc. apart from leaning to get the thermometer I lie pretty still. Also, are you taking the temps vaginally? You will tend to get a more accurate reading that way.
If you are already doing the above, then, looking at your rough temps, they are usually more what I get prior to ovulation.

Keep going with it, but you may get a better picture starting from cd1 next one. FF won't show ovulation until you get a sustained rise three days in a row, which you might have missed earlier in your cycle. Good luck, but I definitely think I will start to get a better picture of your cycles soon

Yes i am taking them every morning between 6.05-7am but most been about 6.05 when hubby gets outta bed for work.
I havent been taking them vaginally tho..i have been placing it under my tongue. Will this be ok?
I will try to get a proper bbt for next cycle & take it vaginally instead if thats more reliable?

I still have mild cramps but dc is almost gone, still a little watery but not as much :-/ is that right if i havent ov yet,

The problem with oral temps is that we tend to sleep with our mouth open or partly open some nights which changes the oral temp.

What I do is grab the thermometer and turn it on (still half asleep!) and place it in about an inch in. I often does back to sleep again. When I wake up fully next, i take it out then hold the button down to get the last recorded steady temp. It does get cleaned every morning

Your CM still being a little watery, could mean you haven't ovulated yet. It will dry up after ovulation and then a few days after go creamy.

Definitely get a bbt thermometer. The .00 of a degree makes all the difference!

Ahh thats good that you can recover the last reading..if you fall asleep again. Haha. I lol when i read that..'it does get cleaned every day'

I havent had much cm today compared to last 4 days...but had little niggly pain to right today.
I would love to see if i do actually ov, it would make me so happy just to know that.

So if i ov how will i know looking at the chart? Should tomorrows temp be higher than todays, & then Fri higher still? Xx

What may happen is that when you ovulate, temp may dip slightly or stay low. Day after ovulation, temp will rise and should keep rising or stay high for three consecutive days. When that happens FF will automatically highlight you as having ovulated and you will be 3dpo.

Stick with a normal Digi if that is all you have but if you do get AF (I hope you don't!) do try and get a bbt thermometer.

Im on Day 30 today....does this look promising so far to show ov??
I only started charting half way through cycle, so i know it wont give a fair view as i havent got my temps from the start of my cycle.

Iv had lotsa dc the last 4-5 days & cramps.

I have pcos so really hope this is confirmation i have ov! [Grin]
