Why and when did you start ttc?

This is probably the silliest question of the day, but why and when did you decide to start ttc?

Obviously you wanted a baby! But i am fast learning there is no 'right time' to start and am just trying to figure it out for myself. I was always very career minded and have got to the stage where i'm realising it's not the be all and end all. I really want to start ttc but at the same time feel a bit freaked out.

Was anyone else in the same boat?

We decided to start properly trying in Jan 2013, after we got married in Sept 2013 we had stopped using protection, but in Jan we decided to put a bit more effort into it, i conceived in June 2013. I had wanted to wait until after we were married to have a baby, Dh didn't care.

We lost the baby at 8+6 but only found out at the 12 week scan, due to a chromosomal problem we were told not to ttc until we received genetic counselling, unfortunately we had a little accident, well we are quite happy about it, and i am now 24+1 weeks.

We have had loads of ups and downs and it has been a real struggle getting here today, and even though we still aren't in the ideal situation i can't wait to meet our little boy and i wouldn't change it for the world!!

I'm sorry about your mc :( So glad it's all good news now.

It sounds daft but I'm worried about so many things. Part of me thinks if i'm getting stressed over this decision then it's clearly not the right time. But then I get upset about not trying! Can't win in this situation.

To be honest it's really good advice. There's a strong possibility I have PCOS (another reason why I'm thinking about starting now) as I was put on dianette in August for 9 months to sort out my periods after it appeared i wasn't ovulating. Scans didn't show any cysts but a specialist saw me and said i wasn't ovulating and thought the dianette might sort it out. I had a lot of pain during my periods (to the point where my body was telling me to push - very odd). I came off dianette two months ago and surprise surprise pain is back and getting no ovulation signs.

I'm probably just thinking about it way too much. I come from a bad divorce parentage and i think it's scared the crap out of me. Don't want to screw a child up.
