I think I've had a chemical pg?

So, recently started TTC #2. Last month I was convinced I was pregnant as had all the same early pregnancy symptoms I had with my DS. Took a pg test a few days early which was negative then later that day I got my period. It was early and I am never early. This period has also been horrific! I am on day 6 and still bleeding heavily with awful cramps. Does that sound like a chemical pregnancy? Is it going to mess up my cycles for next time?

I would say no to it being a chemical pregnancy if the test was negative.

I had what my consultant called a chemical pregnancy, lost 21 days after conception, 7 days after my period was due and a positive test. The cramps were bad for the first 24 hours until I had passed everything and then similar to a normal period:

Good luck next month.

Thank you. I did wonder as I had a negative test. Just a 'feeling' on my part. Hope it's just a rogue AF as had a mc before and it messed my cycles up for months!

My next AF was right on time despite the cocktail of fertility meds I had been on to get my BFP in the first place. So hopefully even if it was a chemical pregnancy you will still ovulate within your normal timeframe.

So stressful! Fingers crossed for you.

That's encouraging to hear but sorry you've had to go through all of that and end up with a cp. TTC is stressful! Fingers crossed for you too.

Thank you! Three tries later and my little boy is now 3 months old Grin
