Think I'm pregnant but tests say negative?

Hi ladies I am looking for some advice, for nearly 2 weeks I have been bloated, nauseous, on/off food, my boobs are bigger and sore and I need a wee more often. Yesterday I also had agonising cramps for about an hour. Last time I felt like this I was pregnant with my 1st however I have done 3 tests and all are negative! We have been ttc since July last year so I am worried I have made all of this up in my head? I have poly cystic ovaries so my periods are not regular but I had one on 4th of May so technically would be 28th day in cycle today. How long is normal before you get a positive result? And when can I go to the doctors as beginning to worry something else is up? Any advice would be much appreciated Smile x

If you have already been pregnant once, there is no reason why
you shouldn't concieve again. I knew I was pregnant with my first baby, even though all the tests said negative. that's common for a lot of people, and also because we can start testing so much earlier these days. My advice would be to wait at least another 5-6 days and test again. (put it out of your mind if you can, which I know is easier said than done). good luck Merlin

Thanks Merlin I think I will leave it till Friday and if I'm still negative and feeling this way I'll go to the docs x

I'm experiencing the same thing. Very frustrating - started TTC 3 months back. I'm now 4 days late with negative tests. Wasn't on the pill so know my periods arrive like clockwork after 29 days. Was even using OPKs and got +ve one 14 days before my period due (again as usual). I just want clarity one way or the other, it's driving me nuts. I'm pretty sure period will arrive, but a little voice in my head is telling maybe I'm pregnant?! Has anyone else had this happen then get positive test? Thanks so much in advance.

I'm the same I would just rather know either way but my periods aren't reliable enough really it's driving me mad! It's hard not to always be thinking about it when I feel so strange! I have read lots of posts and it seems like even tho these tests say they're 99% accurate it doesn't seem the case. I'm not sure how long a doctor would wait till after your period was due before they'd look into it? Good luck x

Hi ladies, I am having the same thing. I'm on CD53, normally I have a 34 day cycle. I am testing negative (I have taken a lot of tests Blush )

I had very light spotting on CD38 and again today.

I went to the gp on Friday, she told me to test again in a week. I had blood tests this month though which showed I didn't ovulate (on CD21) so I think my chances are slim. Unless I ovulated late.

It's horrible being stuck in limbo like this though. I'm 32 and we've been TTC since Feb 2013 so it's very hard not to get my hopes up. To top it all off I've had a horrible flu all week this week.

I was very irregular after coming off the pill until about 6 months ago so it could just be pill related ovulating issues. Really wish I had known all this when I started taking it :(

Hi bexi I'm in the same boat as you - I feel pregnant but I need to wait one more week before testing. Hubby has gone to pick up yet another pg test fingers and toes crossed for both of us xx
