My cheated on me on 11/30/13
She was spotting on 12/16/13
She got her period on 12/18/13
It's a baby girl... She was conceived on 1/1/14 at least that was the two week mark in which the heart beat can be detected
On 1/28/14 the pregnancy test was positive
we found out she was six weeks pregnant on 1/29/14 I forgave as to her being honest & because I love my wife . I'm not sure how the female body works. I'm prepared to take a DNA test of course but I just want advice & if anyone thinks this could be my daughter she's 23 weeks right now & I'm there 10000% & beyond for her through out this experience we both got tested for STI's and were both clean does anyone thinks she is mine

Could be, Get the DNA done but between now and when she is born prepare for both answers. how will you feel/ react if she is compared with if she isn't?

JonJon1023 · 30/05/2014 01:26

She's mine regardless

But one day she will still need to know the truth.

From the dates surely she is yours. From what I understand, Your DP had her period after the cheating, and wasn't pregnant, then conceived with you after?

1moretime · 30/05/2014 10:59

Hi.
I think she will be yours. Im no expert but if she was 6 weeks on 29th Jan, they add 2 weeks onto dates which would be round about the time she had her period.
Good luck xx

If she has only slept with you since her last period, then the baby must be yours Smile

JonJon they count how far along a baby is from the date of the first day of the last period. So the very moment baby is conceived, that's already counting as 2 weeks. That's how they calculate 40 weeks as the due date (technically 10 months). Hope that makes it a little clearer.

For what it's worth though, DS was dated as further along than reality (I know cos I kept track of dates). It's all based on measurements they take during the ultrasound, which can never be 100% accurate.

Since you're suspicious... are/were these dates being given to you by the health care professionals themselves? Have you been present for scans where they determine the weeks? You would have no reason to question the validity of the information if that's the case. I wonder, how was the 6 week mark defined only one day after the positive test result?
