Hi, I'm 27 and TTC #1. Got married In April and been without precautions since then. Had 1 proper cycles and no luck but technically in middle of cycle 3 at the mo as AF decided to go irregular and reappear twice in 3 weeks! Hmm No idea what that was about.. Was I stressed? Did the conception vits screw my cycle?
Are you guys just as muddled about all the symptom checking / mucus observing / day counting / old wives tales as me?

Seasiderunner · 29/05/2014 20:12

Think I'm going to stay clear of symptom checking and stuff for now, but will do the day counting. I'm quite impatient so I will probably be doing the checks and healthy eating soon enough!! I have been off the pill since Dec but had a few plans up until now so had to delay it, but wanted to give my body a chance to adapt to normal cycles.

Think after coming off the pill the cycles can be a little abnormal at first

sweetpea88 · 30/05/2014 07:01

Hi, baby salt Smile
I finished my pill end of March and it took a good 5 weeks to come back. I think it might just take your body a while to start working how it normally would.

& I agree with Seaside, I wouldn't know what to look for any way Confused Plus I have a feeling that symptom checking and all that other stuff each month will drive you crazy!

Hi sweetpea. I wasn't on the pill so hence why a little confused. I'm not completely regular (normally 32-38 days) but the first month TTC was 48 and then I had one of 14!
Symptom checking is def very bad so avoid if you can. Think I started as after being late for a week on first cycle and getting BFN I was not sure what to believe.
Decided to try an ovulation kit this month just to see if what I think I am interpreting with my cycles is correct. Went for sainsburys own brand as it was an impulse purchase last night but bit confused by it all. The instructions seem to go against all that I have read about them (to use first pee in morning) and say to test during the day with best after midday!

sweetpea88 · 02/06/2014 12:17

Hi babysalt,
Oh I see - that is strange! I know stress can make periods late but I'm not sure about twice in one month!!
I'll be doing an ovulation kit this month too - got asda's own as they were much cheaper and it'd be wasted money if I do happen to ovulate in the week as mr and I aren't living together atm and I only get to see him at weekends!

Hey!
27 TTC #1 Cycle 8 I'm using OPK's and just trying to stay calm about the whole process and trying not to symptom spot too much as I end up making myself ill! happy baby making x

Hi ladies

Kind of same situation here.
Getting married end of July so just starting. Came off the pill at Christmas to try and get it out my system and worked out Friday should have been the day for ov'ing. Went for it on Friday and then again on Saturday and noticed slight bit of bleeding yesterday. Don't dare get my hopes up that we fluked it that well.

Good luck xxx (and anyone else a bit confused about all the abbreviations lol)
