Pregnancy after placenta accreta, any experiences?

Not planning to ttc number 2 for a year or so (dd 7 months) but have started to worry about my chances.

I had an easy pregnancy and birth but spent nearly 3 weeks in hospital after she was born with complications from placenta accreta. V unusual as it was a first pregnancy and I have had no previous surgery (eg CS) which is a risk factor - part of my placenta grew into the uterine wall so was retained and led to infection as it wasn't picked up on. Eventually removed by D&C but they couldn't get it all without the risk of causing damage and the last pieces finally made their way out 5 weeks after bith. Gross.

Clearly I would be treated as high risk for any future pregnancy but am interested to hear from anyone who has had placenta accreta - were you able to conceive easily again? Did you experience losses or threatened miscarriage? How was your birth managed?

Thank you in advance.
