Two periods a month

Hello, just looking for some advice really. Me and hubby are wanting to start a family, but my periods are all over the place. I came off the pill January'13, (17 months ago) and it's taken ages for my periods to settle. A usual month is bleed for 8 days, off for 3, bleed for 4, off for 7, then it starts again!! Averaging a 22 day cycle. It's a nightmare! When would the best time to TTC be? My helpful friends have suggested that as I seem to have two periods a month, then I'm over-producing eggs, or from both sides, so I'm destined to have a multiple pregnancy!!! Help? Any ideas? Anyone else had something similar? Thanks in advance, R

I would recommend a visit to the GP and ask for a referral to Gynaecologist or Fertility Specialist. In the meantime keep DTD regularly when not bleeding. What were your cycles like before the pill?
