Mac I know you feel
Iam of to the super fertile baby loving inlaws thid weekend to play with the 6 nieces and nephews . There will be plenty of " but your so good with children?" And my favourite " good for you living your life first " Hmm
Also Ive read about about surges and not actually ovulating which makes me uncertain about opks !! I often wonder if I actually ovulate !!

macmissy · 29/05/2014 11:54

I am glad I have someone in the same boat Poppet it doesn't feel quite as lonesome! That's another bad thing that in my youth I was super fertile (and family are too) but then I worked out the other night that none of the women in my family have had children over the age of 31 - I am 34 next month.

I don't envy you at all Poppet I have DSS this weekend, just to add insult to injury that my fella's swimmers work! Haha

Be strong Poppet xx

bradders85 · 29/05/2014 12:32

well...since my last post af has come on strong! i'm sure they wait for you to post then surprise you!! ha! bring on next month ladies! :)

poppet85 · 29/05/2014 12:36

That probably sounded worse than it is the inlaws are lovely really but I just know they'll all be seeing if I drink or not !! They just LOVE babies and children and cant imagine why at 28 I am not surrounded by babies .Might just neck a glass of red to prove a point !!

poppet85 · 29/05/2014 12:47

Mac positive story for you .My crazy wonderful friend has a wonderful 2 year old , shes a fantastic mother ......she was 36 when she fell pregnant .

macmissy · 29/05/2014 12:50

I think you deserve a glass of red poppet I know I'll be having one tonight!

Oh Bradders pour yourself a glass too! We'll all be drunk at this rate!

lillamyy1 · 29/05/2014 13:26

Sorry AF got you, cupcake, bradders and poppet Thanks

Sorry to hear how gutted you feel cupcake, but just keep in mind that your DS is proof that you and your DH are compatible at making beautiful babies!
It's just so ironic that when people aren't trying, they're successful and when you want one really badly it takes ages!

Poppet and mac, I keep thinking the same thing, that there's something wrong with me and it'll never happen but look at all the problems Lulu's had and she managed it!

It's alright for our DH's, their bodies are so simple! Ours are so bloody tricksy! Hmm

At least we'll all being going through the same parts of the cycle together in June! And just think, if we're lucky next month, next year we'll have little Easter babies that we can dress as bunnies or lambs!! Grin

lillamyy1 · 29/05/2014 13:28

And mac, my sister had her 6th (Yes, 6th!!!) baby 18 months ago, aged 40!! And he's healthy, happy and gorgeous! You're really not too old at all!

poppet85 · 29/05/2014 13:56

mac this will make you chuckle . At christmas when we were playing fun auntie and uncle the eldest nephew said loudly to dh 'when are you having a baby ? I want another boy in the family , why dont you have one ?!" I left dh to explain that one .We hadnt started trying then so I wasnt too bothered but I bet he hadnt figured that out himself probably over heard it from somewhere!!

macmissy · 29/05/2014 14:20

Thanks Lil I would just like 1 (well actually 3) but if I could only have 1 it would make me happy, it's hard not to feel down about the whole thing - I am trying to remain upbeat and positive - it's just hard. I keep thinking about the MC's - ARGH! Damn my head! I also read that if you lose weight it can effect things - I lost 3 stone in the last 12 months, so back to my size 10/12 now - why oh why does everything effect everything?

That is funny Poppet kids say the funniest things! We're trying to 'drop in conversation with DSS (he's 6) about the prospect of having a Brother or Sister - he's not down with the idea at all - haha!

Must try, PMA, PMA, PMA.

lillamyy1 · 29/05/2014 14:52

I understand mac, it's really difficult to stay positive. Good job we've got each other!
My plan for the next month is to stay really busy and try to distract myself from thinking about ttc.
Well done for losing so much weight! Surely it's a good thing that you're down to a 10/12 - that's a really healthy weight! I've been trying to drop the 2 stones that I put on year before last but finding it really difficult. How did you do it?

KatoPotato · 29/05/2014 14:55

Cupcake I'm so sorry the hag got you too! I must say though that's exactly what happened to me! I was so convinced with so many symptoms, and when it came (early) the cramps were shockingly bad!

Next month for sure!!!

macmissy · 29/05/2014 15:10

I put on 3 stone (new job where they just feed you constantly) in 5 years, then I wasn't able to do any exercise due to 2 operations on my shoulder panicked about putting more weight on (I was the top end of a 14) so I joined weight watchers on the recommendation of my physio. I lost 2 stone in 6 months with that and then stayed the same from about the September to the February.

February I gave up sugar for 4 weeks and it dramatically changed how I look. I got rid of the 'podge' between my belly button and my knicker line and lost a stone in 8 weeks! It really does work (and yes I still do have sugar now, I just don't eat a ton of it - and i am very aware of what is in stuff) I thought that having Bran Flakes for breakfast, with a low fat yoghurt & fruit was good for me - how wrong I was!

When is your TWW Lil?

lillamyy1 · 29/05/2014 15:38

Wow! Well done, mac!! Is fruit bad? I've been having fruit and yoghurt for breakfast minus the bran flakes. Did you give up absolutely everything containing sugar??
I just got AF on Weds, so it's still a few days until we even get back to dtd. My tww should start on 13th June.

Cupcake92 · 29/05/2014 15:53

Sorry to all those AF got :(
Must be an AF attacking day today!!

I got told by my HV today that my sons head is too big for his body and that it should be smaller. I need an appointment with the gp to see why it's too big ......

Yeah ... I'm not joking that really happened today.

macmissy · 29/05/2014 15:54

Thanks honey, it is but in the grand scheme of things, not as bad as sweets or low fat products! You cut down for 2 weeks, then cut out completely for 4 weeks and then bring back in for 2 weeks! (in 4 weeks I lost 3 inches off my hips!)

I do eat sugar now, I have just had a packet of smarties!

Fingers crossed for you!

macmissy · 29/05/2014 15:56

Really cupcake that sounds all kinds of ridiculous!

LuluJakey1 · 29/05/2014 16:11

Cupcake That happened with my godson. He was meeting all his milestones but his head was 97th centile and he was sent for a scan. He was fine. They were just making sure. The consultant said babies/ toddlers do get growth spurts in different parts of the body and the rest just catches up.

Cupcake92 · 29/05/2014 16:27

I know mac! It was just the way she said it as well!

N lulu yeah they said his heads in 98th centile.
I know he's fine as he had all sorts of tests last month as he was very ill and stopped breathing etc. But all came back fine.

I did laugh tho :p my baby has a big head haha!
I blame the steroid injections I had at 32 weeks

LuluJakey1 · 29/05/2014 16:28

Am at PIL having a lie down. I was exhausted after the drive and still feeling sicky.

Grandmas, SIL and PIL waiting with lunch ready. Everyone pleased to see us and made a fuss of DH and his leg.

Sat down to lunch and I thought I was going to be sick. DH got stuck in. I made myself eat something- mashed potato which helped a bit. After lunch I helped MIL clear table while DH entertained the Grandmas.

MIL in kitchen 'Lulu, are you pregnant? '

How did she know! Said I looked a bit off- colour and my face looked a bit different . I started to cry I just felt so crap. She gave me a big hug. Told me about how sick she was when she was pregnant and said I shouldn't have driven and DH should have known better.

She sent me up for a lie down and brought me a cup of tea. DH has told the rest of them and they are over the moon. SIL has been up to hug me with DH. I have sent them downstairs.

I am so tired, down to the bone tired but I can't fall asleep. Window is open and sickness feels a bit better. Just need a nap.

Now they'll think I am a wimp! Sad

poppet85 · 29/05/2014 16:28

lilla my plan is to spend the money I would have spent on test/books/opks on treating me !! I've got a nice weekend planned with my mum , Iam having all my hair cut off and I fancy doing a spa type thing !!

poppet85 · 29/05/2014 16:30

Ok I dont spend that much on tests ! Promise !!

Cupcake92 · 29/05/2014 16:36

Hope u get a good nap lulu!

Ooo poppet! I've always wanted to chop my hair off but never had the courage as not sure what style to have, how exciting to treat urself! :p

Ducky23 · 29/05/2014 16:41

What a hectic day! I was at work then someone come up infront of everyone and was like 'hows your baby?!?' i ran off crying but it seemed like every member of staff was in my path! Then I started being very sick and went so dizzy I could hardly stand Confused I went home and then went so so so tierd I could not keep my eyes open!

macmissy · 29/05/2014 16:43

Don't worry about what people will think lulu they're just going to be over the moon that you're up le duff!!! Now have a nice nap woman, and let them run around after you!

Poppet I haven't spent that much at all. But sounds like a really good plan treating yourself. I do this every month anyway (hair cut anyway) but then I'm lucky as my best mate is my hairdresser so I get it done on the cheap.
