I'm assuming you have the ovulation monitor. If so, you've done the right thing. Tomorrow it should show 'day 4'. Your first month it should start asking you to test from day 10 (from memory. Someone will correct me if that's wrong). I have a long cycle but got a high reading fairly early on so that was quite a lot of sticks, and quite a lot of (unnecessary) baby dancing! eBay/Amazon seem to be the cheapest sources of sticks. In your first month you might not get a 'peak' as the monitor gets to know you. Aim to test at the same time each day. Once you do get a peak you don't need to use any more sticks that month as the monitor will automatically register two days of peak readings whether you POAS or not. It will then tell you when to expect your AF and if it arrives just set 'day 1' on your monitor again. Good luck!

well i have reset it the book has said set tomorrow at 9am im assuming it will ask for a stick then ? it said in book to set 3 hours before and after testing time so 9:00am is best time to set it if it doesn't ask for a test tomorrow i will just switch it off and reset on the 1st next month which is supposed to be my OV day anyway if it works like that or does it have to be set on an AF day there is a pic of what it looked like when i set it today i am on day 3 of af so that is a CD i think or is CD going to be 1st of the month lol i really have no clue do i :)

I realised I gave you incorrect information last night! Sorry! You need to set it at the time you are going to carry out the test, so if you did so at 9am you can POAS 3 hours before or after this time, if you set it at 7pm, you then test plus/minus 3 hours of this time. Switch it on at your test time every day and it will flash a pics of a stick if it's looking for a reading. Once it starts asking for sticks it will continue to do so until it registers a peak. It tests in sets of ten sticks, so if it doesn't register a peak in your first 10 days of testing, it will ask for another 10 (so I wasted 20 sticks one month I had a 43 day cycle as it automatically resets to 'low' I if it doesn't register a peak after 20 sticks). CD1 is the first day of your period so if AF started four days ago, you are CD4 and should set the monitor for day4 AT the time you want to test. Your first urine of the day tends to be more concentrated but you have to remember to hold in your pee until you check if the monitor wants a reading. I managed to test with a 'dribble' a few times...!!

I would just add, try and not get too focused on the 'science' of the monitor. You still need to enjoy s~x with your partner and not make it so you are expecting him to perform to order. I think the monitor is a useful tool for helping you understand your cycle but regular sex through your cycle will help up the odds of conception monitor or not! Try and also keep an eye out for other symptoms of your cycle - I get pimples around Ov but cervical mucus has not been a good indicator for me. It is very exciting getting that first peak though...!!
