a day late but no bfp?

hi everyone, I'm mostly a lurker on this board during the dreaded tww, but now I have a question of my own!

I've had a weird cycle this month, we only dtd once around my fertile window so I'm not really expecting to be pg, but it can happen I suppose! I had strange cramps on one side only for two days about two days before my period was due, and a bit of spotting, then it stopped. And again last night, my due on date, there was a bit of spotting so I thought it was all over.

But there's nothing today, and usually it would have come on properly today with full on bleeding and pain. So I tested with the first wee of the day and got my bfn! I'm confused. Can anyone shed any light on whether I could still be pg even though I'm getting a negative test? Thanks!

You could be me! very similar situation with symptoms all over the place! I'm just going to test again until something happens!

Hi MrsKate! I've just had a bit more spotting now, so I'm sure by tonight it'll have started properly. Just a bit strange this month that's all! At least we weren't full on trying or I'd be going mad by now, the fact that I don't have much hope that we managed it makes this easier!

We are trying officially, but work shifts and things so this month we didn't go for it properly. How about you, have you been at this for long? We ahve a DS already, he's just turned 2 so we decided that it's time to try again!

So now I'm 3 days late and still a bfn!! I'm never late. Getting frustrated. After the cramping and slight bleed last week it seems like too much of a coincidence for it to be nothing but the negative tests are dispiriting.

Anyone else been through this? I feel like I'm pg but it may be wishful thinking. I'm bloated, feeling under the weather, and I'm sure I'm nauseous although that one's easy to imagine! Tired as well. Sigh.

I had this in march, finally 11 days late af showed up! I did conceive the following cycle though. Fingers crossed for you, I know how frustrating it is! X

Thanks, I know the negatives mean it's likely I'm not pg but I just want to know! Either way, just so I'm put out of my misery!

i'm having exactly the same at the moment, i'm now 4 days late (i'm NEVER late) i've had some small amounts of blood today i.e. just a tiny amount when i wipe but not even enough to make it to underwear. all symptoms that could be either PMS or pregnancy - sore boobs/cramps etc but a negative test ....
I've googled and lots of people seem to get false negatives until at least a week or longer after period due.
Its so frustrating as i just want to know before the bank hols weekend (with lots of drinking planned!!) either i am pg or just missed period ?

Hi, just checked back, af arrived on tuesday with a vengeance! Terrible cramps but at least I know what's happening. It's so easy to obsess, I'm bad for that anyway but TTC gets into your brain like nothing else, I've found!

So trying again this month, will dtd lots around the right time and try not too worry too much about exact dates. Thanks for all replies, I'm sure I'll be back soon with more analysing of mysterious twinges! Good luck to all who are trying x
