kitkatkaty87 · 15/05/2014 16:08

Just realised i'm cd5 so we aren't far apart. We were really relaxed about the whole thing last month but we are going to be a bit more strategic this month. It's amazing how ttc makes over your life isn't it? :)

Let's hope this is a very lucky thread!

LuckyAugust · 15/05/2014 19:58

I'll join you again! After a few days of light bleeding AF arrived fully a few days ago so this is CD3......... Fingers crossed for this month Smile

kitkatkaty87 · 16/05/2014 09:10

af has just left the building for me, unfortunately i've currently got the lurgi though so cant appreciate her leaving as much.
I'm trying to be more relaxed this month - its hard when you want it so much though isnt it!
ive bought a fertility book to read for this month, doing opks and using conceive plus - but going to try and take it easy a bit too!

Can I join in? Cycle #2 and somewhere in the TWW I think. Maybe 5-8 days till AF. Hoping she doesn't spoil my hols next weekend.

jdear · 16/05/2014 14:13

Hi all! Im on cycle 2 as well, based on ewcm it is now my fertile time so dtd as much as possible (daily!).

TTC is harder than I thought. I said that I would be relaxed about it all but nooo I'm obsessing over it all the time, worrying that we will have problems.

I do wonder whether last month was a chemical preg though....AF arrived on time but without going into yucky details was very different to normal. I hadnt tested and had no real symptoms other than usual pms (apart from maybe ones in my head!) so we'll never know.

Butterpuff · 16/05/2014 15:06

jdear I thought I would be relaxed as well. I haven't got to charting yet but I cant stop reading threads, looking up symptoms, reading how it all works......
.....all those years your told you have to be super careful and here we are trying hard to get upduffed. Its madness.

kitkatkaty87 · 16/05/2014 17:39

I'm the same girls. I really thought that it would be easyuntil I found out more about fertility and everything. I really hope this is everyone's month. Af reappeared forme today! Hopefully just the end though. Good luck for the 2ww butter puff. When are you due to test?

OP posts:
jdear · 16/05/2014 21:39

Well hopefully this will be a lucky thread for us all! I'm just enjoying a glass of prosecco...feeling a bit guilty but I'm celebrating a new job/promotion so what the hell. I think the relaxation will do me good :)

Teakind · 18/05/2014 17:04

Congratulations jdear!

How is everyone? I ordered some conceive plus so am going to give that a go this month I think. I'm not doing very well with the 'going with the flow' approach!x

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 18/05/2014 17:28

I used conceive plus with dc1 and dc2 and conceived first month. Currently ttc first cycle but not feeling as lucky but who knows af due 26th, eeeeeeek. We were supposed to be "seeing what happens" and not going all out like with dc1 and 2 but I'm just so excited!

Teakind · 18/05/2014 19:37

Oh good to know it can work! Yeh I think it's really hard to not get over excited once you make the decision to start trying x

kitkatkaty87 · 18/05/2014 20:10

I have been using conceive plus. Didn't work first month for me - but it's really good and can only help.
I have barely thought about ttc all weekend as full of cold as is dh, and we have been doing decking in our back garden all weekend! Need to get all the house and garden done before I get a bfp so I can lift heavy things still!!
Af is still just here for me and cd6 I think. Faint lines on the opk getting darker each day I think though. Think I'm due to ovulate next weekend. I'm not telling dh this time too make it a bit less pressure on him. Just want to hurry up and ovulate now!
How is everyone else getting on?

OP posts:
jdear · 18/05/2014 21:02

katy has your dh been feeling the pressure too as mine certainly has!

We have dtd every day for 5 days, and I think at least every other day before that since AF finished. Im guessing I am 1 or 2 dpo now so going to rest for a bit! Yesterday DH couldnt quite finish...if you get what i mean. Said he felt his poor bits were worn out! Managed fine today though.

Thinking I may have put a bit too much pressure on him!! If not successful this month then might try every other day next month instead (month 3), what do you girls think? Anyone else feeling theyre acting a bit obsessively atm or just me?!!

Should have known that being relaxed just isnt in my nature :(

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 19/05/2014 07:26

With dc1 we did ever 48 hours and dc2 every 36 hours. This month I think only every 3 days (working long hours and 2 dc under 3 make it much more of a challenge!!) so trying hard not to get excited! Have any of you tried taking cough medicine? Has to be a specific one but it has something in it that thins the cervical mucous and makes the environment more friendly apparently! I have a friend that took it after 8 months of ttc and worked first month, then when she was trying for dc2 she didn't try it for several months as she wanted a girl (it seems to favour the boy sperm) but tried it and worked first month again. She had 2 boys. I might try it if I have no luck after a couple of months.

Butterpuff · 19/05/2014 08:48

kitkatkaty87 thanks, I think I'm going to put off testing until next Tuesday if AF hasn't arrived before then. I think she is due sometime between Wednesday and Saturday. But we are going away for the bank hols and I don't want to spoil it with a negative!

Its so hard not be obsess. Today I'm feeling quite nauseous, I hoped it was a symptom, but its only TTC clubs who believe it can kick in this early the NHS seems to insist that 6 weeks is the earliest. So hard.

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 19/05/2014 14:27

Really hard not to obsess!! I'm feeling crampy 1 week before AF, why don't i pay attention when I'm not ttc so I could compare to non pregnant months!!

Teakind · 01/06/2014 15:06

Hello, how is everyone? I think I'm 5dpo but I don't use opks so am just going by when I should have ovulated. Trying hard not to symptom spot and am anxiously awaiting next weekend so I can test. I have a feeling it is going to be a very very long week!

kitkatkaty87 · 01/06/2014 19:42

Hi teakind, I am the same as i ran out of opks before I got a positive so I don't know when I ovulated. I am between 5 and 7 dpo i think. Haven't had many symptoms to spot at all this month. I was going to try and hold off until the 14th June to test but I don't know if I can wait that long!xx

OP posts:
Teakind · 02/06/2014 17:40

kitkat you have strong willpower to wait until 14th. I'm going to try and wait until Sunday but it's going to be so hard. I know I will cave!

I felt really sick after lunch today but I know that's just because I ate too much : )

ellstor · 09/06/2014 20:43

Me me me! Ttc #1 cycle 2( but sort of 1 as 1st af after pill) cd4
Fingers crossed for June and all the symptom spitting pays off- it seems now is baby season - I swear everyone is giving birth - neighbours, family and colleagues.
Baby dust to us all x

LuckyAugust · 11/06/2014 19:13

Baby dust to everyone. I got my bfp last week - this was our second month of trying Smile Smile Smile Smile
