My partner and i are currently ttc, I have 2 children to a previous relationship, neither were planned, but by no means mistakes. I have been having sickness for nearly 3 weeks now, sick everyday, different foods set me off, alcohol and smoking are of literally no interest to me, which is very unusual. I have lost quite abit of weight recently due to not being able to keep anything down whatsoever. I experience morning sickness with my youngest and didnt even know i was actually pregnant until i was 18 weeks gone, i didnt have any symptoms with my eldest just a late period which led me to do a test. This time around pregnancy tests are seeming difficult to read. Obviously negative readings stand out, i have had 2 negative readings from the same branded test but have had either inconclusive or very faint positives with cheaper dip strips. I used both these tests when testing for pregnancy with my other children so know that they do work but i am a little baffled. This morning however i feel really heavy in my stomach. I really want to do another test, as it is my birthday i am hoping that a positive line will stand out, it would be the best present ever. How long can it take for your hormone levels to be strong enough for a positive reading if you are in fact pregnant? I have never actually planned having a baby so although i have 2 beautiful children already, this ttc is totally new to me.

Thankyou both, yes i did test but again, inconclusive. I may make an appointment with the doc as i have been sick everyday now for the past 2 and a half weeks, smells of foods makes me ill, even making the kids their breakfast has me running to the toilet and i feel constantly nauseous. These are all symptoms experienced when pregnant with my daughter, but i didnt find out i was pregnant with her until i was 18weeks gone. I only had my coil removed 4 weeks ago, that had only been in place for 6weeks prior to removal.
