metallic taste..can anyone describe it

if it's like.. something yucky tasting, almost like coins as has been said on here, but sort of 'off tasting', rising up from both sides of your tongue about half way up it..

i think i've got it.. my tongue feels odd too and as of y/day feeling on / off sicky. did a tesco test y/day, cd 28, but was neg. last month af came after cd29, month before after cd31...

have another tesco test at home but not worth using today is it.. after a neg y/day AND early

Dh will flip if i buy a first response as had a faint pos last month then a chem preg i think

ooh, another q, can anyone describe the gripey pains .. i feel like someone is poking the walls of my tummy low down, with their finger, and then up tops of thighs and on hips, i'm getting shooting pains

boobs are big with the bumpy tuber things and blue veins but i think that might just be me when i'm due ..

i have never had this but my mum had it with all 8 of her pregnancies(she always knew when she was pregnant after 4-5weeks, she had asked me if i had it with my 2 pregnancies but i never knew what she was on about, she would also say her tongue felt furry, whatever that means

thanks Kidstrack.. that's useful.. i know what she means by furry but wouldn't say mine is, at mo anyway; it feels, or tastes like, i've been sick, or when you're travel sick.. and can't get taste out of mouth. okay to eat though, and havne't been sick!

I got the metallic taste for a wee while with DS, and it was like how you describe, almost like I had been sucking coins or licking metal bars or something.

Keep us posted, won;t you!!!!

For me it was like a cross between sucking on a penny and the iron taste when you suck a bleeding cut.

after frantic noting of symptoms for a few months i've convinced myself that gums are more sensitive just before AF (always seem to burn them on food which I can eat okay other times).

so the taste could be sort of 'iron'/blood from sore gums perhaps

suspect is a neg as getting incredibly grumpy and been a---y with colleagues all morning! will let you know if pos - tks for the help :-)

it tastes like metallic fumes coming up your throat and along the sides of you tongue... like dirty old coins

pains are a bit like period cramps but a bit duller... all through my lower abdomin, bum and back.

its like you can taste the fillings in your mouth,and coffee or tea just dosent taste right, hope this helps

Twiglett you're right to caution ; i had a differnt type of metallic before

just confused but the grump stage indicates AF. ho hum
