Trying to conceive at 44

I just wanted to know if I am crazy to keep trying to conceive as a last attempt to have a second child? I had my first child aged 38 - conceived within three months and a joy. Started trying again aged 42 and just turned 44 but still nothing. Have i left it way too late? Should i give up the ghost of the second child? Or is it still entirely possible? Thank you

Still possible. I had my last child at 42 and I have friends who had children later than me. Relax. Sometimes getting too focused on it can hinder chances.

Make sure you start taking folic acid when you are TTC. Otherwise, get cracking! Grin

Thanks very much for those reassuring comments. I did go and see the doctor and had an FSH test to check my levels were still ok and the doc said that i have a very good number and definitely still fertile. Much younger than my years etc. But I have not known anyone that got pregnant past 43, so good to hear it can happen.
