Got My BFP and really nervous

Hi all

I hope you don't mind me posting on here, as I know how frustrating ttc can be especially when it seems like everyone around you is getting a BFP. However I feel nervous posting on the pregnancy board as its so early and I don't want to tempt fate at the moment.

I got my BFP with a digital test on Wednesday. This is my first pregnancy and although i'm excited (although still in shock) I am nervous of what to expect and of the usual concerns in early pregnancy. I was due Af flow going from yesterday till tomorrow (cycle has varied a day either side) and keep expecting it to turn up. I just cant get my head around that its not going to Any words of reassurance would be really appreciated.

Congratulations! The best thing I was ever told is that you can't possibly imagine what's coming next, so don't try to - let it happen. All of your anxieties are normal - take a deep breath and be kind to yourself. I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Yes as you said i will just have to take each day as it comes. I'm telling myself to stay chilled but still cant help feeling nervous. I think i will feel better once the weekend has passed, as i know That's the point when i would have started Af. I know once i get to the 3 month mark i will feel A lot better and it will also feel more real, im still in shock at the moment

It's the excitement! I know the feeling - every landmark was another step closer. It can happen you know, and it can be great!

Yes I want it so so much I almost feel scared to invest too much excitement at this moment as its such early days. But I want to enjoy every moment, not look back wondering what all the worrying was about and regret not enjoying things. At the end of the day i have got to think worrying or not wont affect the outcome (although letting myself stress could) and to make the most of it. I really am happy though, just so new to this.

Congratulations!!

Congratulations impatiently I fully understand why you feel so nervous, but like you say, just try to enjoy it because worrying won't stop anything from happening and the chances are in your favour that you will have a healthy baby in 9 months time and you will look back and wonder why you wasted this wonderful time stressing. Just concentrate on being healthy and looking after yourself and then you know that you are doing everything you can to look after your little bean

Totally normal to feel that way!! I couldn't test until I was 5 days late as was too scared! I'm 11 weeks and it still doesn't feel real. Scared and excited about my scan next week! Enjoy the BFP whatever you do!! Xx

Hi lolly Congrats on your pregnancy :) ooooh exciting stuff, yes it must be very nerve wracking as your getting past the first main hurdle(? sorry couldn't think of a better word at the moment) it will be fine im sure, easier for me to say to you , i should take my own advice Thanks for the kind words and wishing you a healthy, happy remaining remaining pregnancy :) xxxx
