Before I had a period for about 4 consecutive days with the cycle length 28 days. However, for the last couple of months I have a spotting on about day 25 for 1-2 days, then nothing for 1-2 days, then bleeding starts on day 28-29 for about 4 days. Do I consider the spotting as the the first day of my cycle, or the bleeding? Thanks in advance

I always consider cd1 to be first day of 'red', think its from a Zita west book. Spotting isn't AF.

Bizzare tho, I've always spotted before AF...until this month, straight into red! Xx

First day of 'full flow'

I heard (secondhand from a friend who went to fertility clinic) that you count from the first day that you have full flow (not just spotting) before 10am. If your full flow starts later in the day, you count the next day as the first day of your cycle.
